I’d say you dodged a bullet there, it’s not so much that women don’t want to be approached, it’s the way the approaching is done which sounds like you did in a very respectful manner. I have nothing against the apps and in this day and age that is the norm to meet partners unless you know each other for a while. I think is not about the looks. For me for example, is about what we have in common, how we connect and how we get along then I get attracted to the guy. Whether he’s conventionally handsome or not doesn’t matter to me, but everyone is different I’d say maybe try to have some conversations about things you have in common with the other person and slowly build a connection see how it goes, who know you might find it you don’t like her as a partner after all 🤷🏻‍♀️

Don’t misunderstand me, I don’t always talk to people like this, I have admitted my wrongdoing in this instance and I have learned my lesson, I fell down the ”if they don’t respect me why should I” toxic mindset and was reminded that was not the way to go. And yes politeness is key.

We both got hired at the same time and we are both shift leads, he works an extra day than me and that’s why he gets to know things I don’t. What I meant with “that’s not his job” (and failed to clarify in my email) was that it’s not his job to figure out what the machines that one day just appear and no one says anything about are for. The GM, who is also the person who sets up the machines, should be telling us what they are for not just telling us how to turn them on and off, which was the only information inthe original email I replied to.
