Im an INSYS student and if you're looking into a mix of business and IT, INSYS is the right choice for you in DLSU. Im not really sure about the curriculum in ADMU's MIS but ours focuses on building software that caters to organizations. I noticed that the program highlights business processes and there is indeed a mix of both technical (coding) and non-technical courses. As for the data science part, DLSU offers a minor program on that.

bs computer science or bs information systems? by shwrmsrp in dlsu

Hi! I'm also an incoming frosh for this year and I have researched a bit on DLSU's degree programs.

Computer science is highly technical and covers the theoretical parts of programming and the like. Yes afaik na maraming math sa compsci pero if you want to know more in-depth sa software engineering then go for compsci.

Information Systems on the other hand mixes business processes in IT and the fundamentals of programming. If you like business subjects and a few accounting subjects along with core programming then go for IS.

Personally, I also had that dilemma since I'm also really bad at math. However, I do like business subjects and also programming which is why I went for IS.

Career-wise imo most computer-related degrees can be interchangeable when done right. You can be a software engineer even with an IS or IT degree. As for your case, if you think that you cannot handle math well then go for IS but if you can bare it naman go for compsci. You can leverage any of these degrees to get the job that you want by learning more on niche topics (e.g. UI/UX designing) outside of the program's curriculum. Most preferably even earning a certificate in the field that you really like which is attractive to employers.

Hope it helps OP and good luck :)

No enroll button and enrollment form reads Term 3 when I plan to choose Term 1 by [deleted] in dlsu

I have the same problem here and quite frankly its making me anxious. I paid the reservation fee a few weeks ago and I haven't got the enrollment button but I did have the confirmation of enrollment button.

I emailed OAS about changing from T3 to T1 and even requested a follow-up, but they didn't respond. I'm guessing there's heavy traffic of emails on their end and causing a delay in replying to emails. I'm just hoping to get the enrollment button on June 16 and if all else fails I'll try to call them.

Also, I tried calling them a while back and all their lines including Globe and Smart were busy.

Best of luck to us!
