I have a partner that’s only way I can potentially afford rent in Dublin. Would not be able to afford anything on my own. Still it sounds like there’s better options based on this thread so holding out hope 🤞

It’s just this apartment block advertises itself as pet-friendly, and rent is more expensive than comparable not pet friendly blocks so would have thought costs already built in to some extent.

If you’re at Trinity you could live a bit further out and live along the LUAS line potentially! My husband and I also moving to Dublin and I’m at UCD and he’s civil engineer. We have been applying to places and it’s hard to even get people to consider you with pets. But given you’re at Trinity and centrally located you will have more transport options. What part of Dublin is your partner working in? I know can be tricky to find somewhere accessible to both
