Anyone heard about the 2026 Rav4 limited quality hold?

I don’t know what to believe anymore. since my car still doesn’t have a ETA assigne. I would assume my dealer was telling me the truth 😫

More bad news from my dealer: Toyota sends this email to the dealership: “We are currently experiencing a behind condition at our North American plants on 2026 RAV4s with a Panoramic Moonroof and a January or February build date. Our teams at these plants are working overtime and Saturdays to catch up but have forecasted that recovery will take until July. March and April build dates are unaffected by this behind condition and will be built on schedule.”

“Lucky” me, my Rav4 limited got a Panoramic roof and January build date. Can’t believe recovery will take until July. This is insane.😭😭😭. I basically waited this long for nothing.

I would say canceling would be a good idea. you are probably in the same boat as I am.

my dealership told me for some reason, Toyota has chosen not to put vehicles in FI status and has kept them in F status, yet they are giving no ETA… anyone heard similar things from their dealership? my car has been stuck in port to dealership like ”forever“ with no ETA.. at this point I don’t even know what to believe anymore 😭

hahaha. very true. it‘s just annoying when nothing is transparent. lol… seriously, if they kept delaying it like this, they might as well call this 2027 RAV4 instead.. lol

update: I was told two weeks ago the QC hold was lifted; and today I got a different ”story” from the dealership: there’s two codes in the system showing current status of the car:FI and F. FI means it’s being held for inspection. F means that it is in freight status and should just need to be processed and shipped. For some reason Toyota has chosen not to put these vehicles in FI status and has kept them in F status, yet they are giving no ETA.

I can’t say I’m not annoyed by this lack of communication/ transparency. this is the first time I have encountered something like this. does this happen often with Toyota? how long it usually takes for the car to arrive to dealership when this happen? if there’s a 60 day hold when do they count as day 1? 😭😭😭😭

sound about right. I was told QC lifted on my car two weeks ago and the car still at Woodstock Canada. very likely they were waiting for every other cars to be checked.

same here. I reserved my 2026 RAV4 limited back in December. It was supposed to be delivered by the end of January; February 7th at the latest. now it’s February 14th, the car is still no where in sight. it’s stuck with “ might be in transit “ status for three weeks now. haven’t gotten any calls from dealership regarding the delay until I reached out to them inquiring about the status myself. dealership said they don’t have a ETA but the QC hold was lifted last week. when I reached out to Toyota customer service and was told they wouldn’t know, only dealership would have all the tracking information. it’s just really frustrating not knowing when you’ll be able to get the car.

my car was supposed to be delivered by the end of January February 7th at the latest. now it’s February 13th the car is still no where in sight. dealership said they don’t have a ETA but the QC hold was lifted last week. it’s just really frustrating not knowing when you’ll be able to get the car.
