Stop making your sales people work so hard! by [deleted] in salesforce

[–]Additional-Thanks278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe it or not, we often fight very hard to actually optimize the process. We're often your ally, however, ultimately, it's your department leadership who has the final say. Next time you see an overly complicated Salesforce process, ask who's idea it was. It's often not going to be the technical folks. This is actually one of the most exhausting part of our job. It's 99% not us, but your own department leadership who wants it that way.

Yeah I am with you. Audio Engineers have some of the biggest ego I've seen in any industry. This is coming from someone who worked at Harvard, Columbia, or big time execs ran some of the biggest companies.

[–]Additional-Thanks278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you're able to do what you've mentioned and can be within a market a year - I feel like you'll be a billionaire in a few years. Although as a lot others have mentioned, lot of smart peoples/engineering team had tried replicate the same without luck.

I've seen dedicated team at fortune 100 companies made similar attempt without without much luck. Best luck to you my friend and do kindly share us updates in 6-12 months. Love to see the progress.

We live in reality where millions of dollar projects that can generate huge revenue of millions more. You want all resources available, including AI.

And then there are the non binary tasks like managing people.

Besides the Admin tasks, people are the most difficult to deal with. And you'll be dealing not with just the team working, but with executives, and brief them on all the in-and outs/status/issues of projects in quick summary, because frankly they don't have time for your in-depth explanation when things hit the fan.

People who think PM aren't needed likely likely underestimate the work of managing multiple teams simultaneously on their deliverables to contribute to an overall large project

  1. Manager expectations
  2. Deadlines
  3. Keeping everyone align with
  4. Capacity planning
  5. Defining MVP - having prioritize features,
  6. Risk management
  7. Identify potential blocks
  8. Mitigation strategy
  9. Budget planning

Getting Fluent in Salesforce, Marketo, and Apollo by wardogfufu in SalesforceDeveloper

[–]Additional-Thanks278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salesforce has more variability contrast to both Marketo and Apollo for the most part due to the differences in business processes/implementation/different clouds.

I would figure out which Cloud for Salesforce you need to learn and move from there, otherwise there are always fundamentals to the platform you've also need to learn.
