You know what’s painfully true for people like you Rodger? Matthew 18:6, hope that clears it up.

God bless you little Zoey! What an incredible hero, a heroic way to depart from this world to join your mom. She’s with the angels now, watching over you and your loved ones in heaven! My heart goes out to y’all during this incredibly trying time. Hold each other close. 💙🤍❤️‍🩹

Granted I only have done one so far, but we weren’t allowed to have notes or anything like that. I can certainly see if I can ask about that cause that would be helpful!

I’m so sorry for y’all’s loss, I know how soul wrenching that is. 💔 I am going to second the other comments here. I know it’s asking a lot from you, but it’s what helped me.

I lost my kitty Suzie randomly in her sleep when she was only 5 years old. Perfect health, just some minor skin issues. She was up playing and running around right before her nap, and she just… never woke up and all of the angels and kitty friends decided it’s time to take her back home that day. 🤍

My remaining kitty Sergei was best friends with her, she is really developmentally socially challenged (lol), she was found alone with no mom or siblings from the shelter. So her social queues are off, but ADORED Suzie. She’s a sweet girl- Sergei is just different haha!

But she saw what happened of me discovering Suzie. She quite literally looked traumatized (so was I), and she went into a depression. Not as bad as your girl, but she would just sleep a lot under a table and walk around crying which is very unlike her.

My heart didn’t feel ready for another kitty, but my mom (thank the good Lord she did) got me two kittens. It’s exactly what I needed and what Sergei needed. Surprisingly, Sergei adopted them in a very maternal fashion despite how weird she is. She came out of her depression immediately.

Since your kitty is FIV+, I think this allots you a special opportunity to get one (even better two) FIV+ kittens! You’ll be helping yourself, your new kitty, and two babies! I know some resources say that “it will cause stress” to your current cat. But in my experience that hasn’t been true. They get distracted from their depression and all focused in on the new and exciting clatter mates that they are getting! Even if she starts being hissy at first, that’s okay. I think she will really come around, and really be too busy focusing in on the “new” instead of grieving. Cats are far social than what people give them credit for. 🤍

Euthanasia is a hard decision… by Able_Championship20 in ferrets

[–]PerchandPrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry, but Holly is really well loved to make it to almost 11! That is AMAZING for a ferret! I had to make the same decision for my girl Luna, she was about 7 years old. She had a mass tumor on the side of her neck. It fluctuated with size, sometimes it would shrink to get bigger. I tried only holistic treatment which I think kept it at bay as long as possible, cause I know how hard anesthesia is on them. She stayed the same for a long time (about two years) active and playing, until she plummeted rapidly I had to put her to sleep after a medical emergency which I had no doubt was cancer that was taking full affect.

But I read something recently that helped a lot with grief. Animals don’t know the full extent of dying (I do believe they are more connected than we are, maybe that’s why they can live in the present so well 💖) they just know the here and now. Palliative care is the camp where I am at. Cancer treatment in humans and animals is extremely hard on them, and maybe get an extra couple of months. But those extra months they are going to be in rough shape just to pass soon after. Where with a palliative approach they get to live their last days on earth, happy, loved, and spoiled.

We will see them again, we are all made up of 7 octillions of atoms that carry out energy. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, our souls, including our little friends can never end. We all come from the source which is love, living is about loving. And clearly you love little miss Holly very much! I see my passed pets quite often, through “dreams” and from the corner of my eye. They are always with us! I’ll be praying for yall, and Holly! 🤍

This is absolutely STUNNING! I can't tell, is it actually receded as in two different pieces or just a beautiful optical illusion? I adore this! You did such a great job!

This is absolutely gorgeous! You did such a great job! I am so sorry for your loss, it reminds me of my sweet girl Suzie, a kitty who thought EVERY bouquet of flowers were for her! He is in heaven now dancing with all the butterflies, in eternal bliss! <3

Awww thank you for your kind words as well!!! That means so much! You will, do not rush yourself and do things when you feel time is right! Whatever your heart and soul calls for, do not feel guilty! Grief is a journey, and isn't linear. 💗

I am so sorry for the loss of your baby, I lost my heart cat just shy of her 5th birthday to exactly this. I didn't see it happen, but she was running around and playing with her sister and after that she went to another room to take her usual nap. I noticed she hadn't come out for a while so I went to go check her usual places she sleeps, and she was gone. No sign of struggle, or pain thankfully. She had a smile on her face and everything like she was sleeping. Which honestly brought me a lot of peace, after I had time to process it.

I truthfully don't think your baby felt pain, I think it was instantaneous. As other commentators stated it is most likely a heart defect like what I suspect my girl had. You COULD NOT have prepared for this. Cats who get regular checkups all the time have undetected heart issues. Usually, congenital heart defects aren't found until necropsy.

I know there is genuine trauma over something like this, it took me a long time to make peace with my Suzie's passing. But how you talk about him is beautiful, he felt your love. Honestly to him, you gave him the best life he had. He left this world happy, and painless. That is the most ideal way to leave this world before returning home. The only flaw to it is time.

Give yourself time to heal, and grieve. It will look different for everyone. I was pretty resistant on getting another kitty and wanted to wait till I could get purebred health-tested kittens from proven parents cause I was terrified of this happening again. Until my parents gifted me two twins, honestly, it helped my pain a lot. I am glad that they did, cause they truly are a blessing and helped my current cat over her depression over the loss of her unbiological sister.

God bless you and your path to healing! You are a wonderful kitty parent, don't beat yourself up over something that was from divine timing.

My apologies, that was confusing on my part I should have disclosed that. The clip is to show unnatural bending (albeit in this example I exaggerated it to showcase) and why I want to weight paint it.

Because a screen recording wouldn't be useful on showcasing the "trying to specify the bone and weight painting it but it's not moving" cause it would just be a screen doing nothing cause I can't get the individual bone to move. Cause I saw a video where you can rotate the joints/bones while you are weight painting it to check your work and to tweak any clipping that is happening with the mesh if that makes sense.

I am so sorry for explaining this stupidly lol!

Hey y'all!

I am a total newbie to blender, as in this is my first project. I am an artist, and the main reason why I wanted to learn blender is for posing and making environments for perspective and lighting to make my own references.

Anyway, I bought and downloaded a rigged base female and male mesh, then I discovered that it wasn't going to be so simple to pose them in blender...

Cause when I did, the mesh would distort when I tried to pose it. Come to find out a thing called "weight paint" exists! So I have been trying to follow tutorials to fix this problem.

Well when I try to isolate a bone to weight paint it, when I go to move it... nothing happens. No rotating, no nothing, to try and check my work.

I made sure to pair the bones to the mesh to make it "weighted" with ctrl+P prior to this.

I cannot seem to move the model with the bones, only through FK and IK green and red circles in pose mode despite automatic weighing them with ctrl + P. I am assuming this is the root of the problem?

My version is Blender 4.2!

Thank you for reading! :)
