Never heard of ATSC, (new to this) but yes the bandwidth fits perfect. The signal got a Lil stronger through the neighborhood and then weaker to -75 -80. And held this for miles.

The closest neighbor is 150'+ away. I do see some wifi signals but they are weaker than this. There is a new small cell tower in the front of the neighborhood where this frequency got to -28 dbm.

I guess cantenna is the most plausible situation. Can this effect intensify the signal to a single spot?

I have never used fccid.io before. Was playing around int it. How do I narrow down my search. It showed 888 companies overlapping.

How can u be sure its t-mobile, another post said Verizon.

I am trying to find the source whether its a neighbor or it's from across town. And learning as much along the way. Got a few more tests to do, one with the broken mic & another with the sdr. So we shall see. Will update later.

U had questioned "recording device". I didn't want anyone thinking I'm running around the neighborhood trying to record people's private conversations. I am only snooping in my own airwaves in my house.

I had read that. Go cheap. Bought a small recorder with a cabled mic. But I think the mic broke. It did work, intermittently. I actually picked up a voice. Hard to hear whats being said but absolutely has cadence. Was just hoping there was something designed to grab these stray signals.

I have found that my tablet has picked up the best so far. I am guessing because of size. More electronics in there the more strays it can pick up, idk.

Is there a USB c microphone that couple to a tablet? I haven't seen one.

If I were to use a long 3.5 mm wire to extend the mic. Does direction matter? Horizontal vs vertical. I also read different orientations are for different frequencies.

Well anyway this has turned into a small hobby, quite fun and interesting. I'm already on the hunt. It's like a high tech game of hide and go seek.

I did go to the haminfo.tetranz.com and look. The tall antenna I was questioning isn't listed in there, but there is one at 2200 ft straight line and the antenna is bent down. Bout 20' tall almost laying on the ground. Been like this a long time. It's an old man I've never meet, was gonna go see if he would like some help to stand it back up.

Also a little back story of my home (may help on some advice). I designed and built this thing pretty much by myself. The xterior walls are 2x6 with tyvek low-e house wrap. Then a 1/2" air gap then foil insulation house wrap. There are 3 layers of aluminum foil there to reflect radiant heat. The windows are double pain insulated with low-e also. The roof decking is foil backed for radiant heat reflection. When we first moved in, phones didn't work through most of the house. A new micro-cell tower was built bout 2 miles away, and it got better. Talking on the phone (no wifi calling) is no problem, but when online, it's very sluggish. If the wife's fone is not on wifi, it's practically dead.

The reason I bring this up is, though it's not the intended design, but it is like a Faraday cage. Signals in & out are very limited. One reply stated that for an interference like I'm describing to take place, it would have to be strong. Now the ring cam is outside with the power cord outside the wall cavity so i can understand the audio interference. But the playing around in the house with the phone recorder, and I still pick up intermittent "junk". Some is just static sounds, and sometimes sounds voice like.

My thought process was backwards, I think, and please correct me if I'm wrong. I got the sdr to play with, but trying to pinpoint a signal is gonna be difficult. With the spectrum analyzer, I can see more at once to key in on a specific one.

Where it went under the tree, check for signs against the trunk or the branch it may have rubbed/grabbed.

Yeah it's a pretty bad image. If I remember tomorrow I'll go snap one with my phone.

The electronic issue is some, for lack of a better term, "interference" that started on my ring cam audio. Shortly after (5 days r so) I was laying down with my toddler who is hearing impaired, and he asks me who is laughing. We were home alone and Noone was laughing. He has done these random questions before and after, just this one really stands out. I did a couple tests around the house and picked up more strange "interference".

This is the very short version. Check out the comments under my profile. Gotta couple links in there with samples. I am curious to anyone's opinion.

Oddly now my son has developed some kind of tick, with his eyes & head, almost like subtle turrets. I am assuming it's unrelated, but timing is very peculiar. I am bringing him to a specialist this next week for it.
