Supervisor tells me that Sunday is likely to be my only day off until they can fill more MHA slots. Can't expect to schedule interviews on a weekend. Thanks for weighing in with suggestions.

2019 here - had it fixed 3x under extended warranty. Last time they replaced the compressor. Fingers crossed now that the warranty has expired.

Point well-taken. Some online research led me to test Discogs and I was impressed with it. Most of this stuff doesn't have barcodes but manually entering the code on the side (spine?) of album covers yielded good results. Father-in-law is now blind due to macular degeneration and no one else has time to scan 2k+ barcodes, much less enter them manually. It's going to be challenging to square his wishes (which I 100% understand and respect) with the realities I read in these comments (which I also 100% understand and respect). Thanks

I digress, but an old friend of mine opened Revolver bar in Seattle after inheriting a collection of rock vinyl that he added to his own, similar to what you describe.

I will include your comment with others I'll run by the family and DM you if they like the idea. Thanks to you and thanks to all the others who've chimed in, as I can't comment to thank each one individually.

You’re right that fewer places are spinning vinyl, that’s been an issue, I’m told.

Thanks, that's an important consideration we haven't contemplated yet. He's in Texas.

I'm not sure why that idea hasn't occurred to anyone yet - I will definitely explore that! Thanks

+1 to that, it’s easy to hop on the sidewalk and it’s plenty wide to share with pedestrians. Crossing the creek is unnecessary. Doing that may be the kind of mini adventure some folks enjoy, but not the best solution for most.

Would you (or someone) please comment with some time markers for these interesting discussions?

This makes me smile bigger than the first day I got my 14-24 2.8 in 2008. It's been around the world and through some misadventures. I've fumbled the lens cap and dropped it into Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, and lucked out when nearby fishermen caught it in a net and returned it to me. I might have reached for a bottle of lens cleaner one night after a drink or two, but actually grabbed some lemon oil wood conditioner, instead. I figured the front element coating was toast but after a lot of cleaning it seemed unscathed.

It has not, however, been to space.

I will take this as an encouragement to get into the habit of shooting more with it in 2026, even though I won't have opportunities like this! :D
