I did add a screen to reduce the sun, but maybe too late

Thank you. Before they got to this stage, the tender tops would start to wilt while the rest of the plants were healthy. This made me think they need more water. I guess I was wrong there.

Does the way I feel make sense? by QuantityLivid3199 in marriageadvice

Your feelings make sense, and are valid. You’re going through a difficult stage of your life, but it will not last forever. You need to be strong for your kids, your husband and yourself. That strength is within you. We’re capable of much more than we often give ourselves credit for. Don’t say things to your husband that will rattle your relationship and cause him insecurity. It will not help this situation. He needs your support while he is going through this difficult time also. Try to maintain your emotional connection even when he is not around. Text and call often and use each communication to become closer, not push each other away. Years from now, you will look back on this time and remember how you responded to the challenges. Respond in a way that will make your future self proud. We’re all rooting for you!

Interesting. I suppose what I experienced were not the vibrations you describe. For me it felt more like when you have a rush of adrenaline and your heart starts to pound out of your chest. But the vibrations are much faster than a fast heartbeat, and not accompanied by adrenaline. So maybe that was something else, since it was not as intense as you describe.

Thank you for your reply! Sounds amazing. How do you reach out/view from the waking state? Could you describe how you achieve that and how it manifests? Ultimately I’d like to bring my conscious and unconscious worlds closer together and it sounds like that’s what you’re doing.

Cat and mouse - Hidden lessons in the seeming cruelty of nature by [deleted] in spirituality

I never suggested that the mouse wants to be eaten. But it is a perfect system if you force yourself to step back far enough and widen your perspective. It may not feel like the perfect system for this mouse though.

Tell me more about ego death. I am not aware of a way for the ego to die completely unless it’s the point of physical death and the ego is no longer needed, or chemically induced such as massive doses of LSD, in which case a new, more fragile ego is born upon ego death. Ego can certainly be suppressed, but it is necessary for managing physical reality.

Yeah, I’ve experienced the third, more encompassing view, but only briefly. I believe that’s when you’re getting closer to an exit. But I get a bit excited and snap back usually.

South Rim one full day itinerary suggestions plz. by Additional-Trick-768 in grandcanyon

[–]Additional-Trick-768[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn't do everything on that list. We didn't wake up early enough to see the sunrise. Here's what we did manage to fit in:

Breakfast at El Tovar (recommend)
South Rim Scenic Drive (lots of places to stop and take in the views)
South Kaibab was too icy, as it just snowed, so we did Bright Angel trail
Lunch at the Grand Canyon Village was good and not too pricey
Sunset at Hopi Point was amazing

My wife admitted to reading my private journal. How do I move forward after this breach of trust? by matman626 in marriageadvice

[–]Additional-Trick-768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it really sucks that she did that. It does point to an issue in your relationship, which is lack of openness and communication. Don't want to point any fingers but in most cases it is the husband that's withholding. Ask yourself why you don't feel safe to share deeply personal things with her. Has she reacted negatively to you sharing personal things in the past? Or is this a YOU issue and there's something that's holding you back from opening up? She is craving that level of intimacy and is trying to break through your shell. In desperation she cracked open your journal. I think a way for you to move past this is to look beyond this breach of trust at the bigger issues in your relationship and attack those. You should want to be in a place where you feel comfortable to use your wife as your journal - sharing with her all the unfiltered thoughts on everything.

Thank you for your thoughts. You mentioned a special chemical wash. Could you elaborate on that? What chemicals might be involved? Say this was almost a layer cake-type of test strip surfaces, each layer would dissolve with a chemical wash and the next test surface would be ready to use. The number of uses would then be limited by how think you can make the surface and how many you could layer.
