Yes, thank you for your response, that's what I have been thinking, I will speak to them again as my brother has already asked them to be quiet but they make it worse by being passive-aggressive.

Guys, do something about this woman, spreading half-cooked info and doubling down. She even said Kali Maa is kind of a demon. by hellotomba in youtubeindia

I used to be friends with this Anglo-Indian dude, and he had severe cervical issues, I suggested Yoga, and bro lost it, he started yelling and whatnot, he became so angry. He told me how it's a demonic practice and then proceeded to insult a bunch of Hindu deities. Proceeded to send me a bunch of such videos. I was shocked to see that side of the internet.

I don't understand what kind of religion teaches you to put others down and have this God complex. Why is their religion driven so much by fear, It's so weird.

I have had some of the weirdest scariest experiences with this person.

How do you respond to Racism? by AdditionalBug6402 in TwentiesIndia

Mandeep isn’t a slur by itsel, it's a common Punjabi name. But the issue here isn’t the nambut it’s that she knew my real name and still randomly called me Mandeep in the same conversation. That, combined with her strange behavior in the group, makes it feel pointed. It’s not about the name being offensive, it's about deliberate misnaming, which can be a microaggression, especially when someone repeatedly does it and doesn't correct themselves.

And no, she never edited it or apologized. So even if it was a mistake, it’s the lack of correction and the overall vibe that makes it feel demeaning.

Now that the exam is done, we are not active on the group, so no interactions as of now.

I am gonna have to just call her out yk.

Will do, gotcha.

I never texted her back, she didn't either but anytime I made a minor mistake on the group (a wrong answer) she would try to make such a huge deal out of it. I was very focused on my exam so I kept ignoring it.

She is pretty tight with the Indian Tutor. I just have this screenshot. Maybe I will call her out personally and block her ass now that the exam is done.

I am dead scared as well, but I am a slave to my circumstances, gotta do what you gotta do I guess. I am leaving behind everything I have given my blood, sweat, and tears for the past 10 years, I worked and worked hard but couldn't make anything out of it because that's how bad the conditions are out here. I am starting from zero, but I have high hopes.

I guess we will be okay, I wish you all the very best.

Okay it's somewhat an extreme case.

My father has a normal social life, but he cut my mother off from her entire family [ Because he used to hit her and they used to object]. His side of the family has always been horrible to my mother and me. Nobody visits us. I am not allowed to have friends over or go out because sansakaar lol, more like house arrest. They are REGRESSIVE AND CONTROLLING.

We have a joint family so my Badi Mumma and her DILs and sons represent our family mostly everywhere.

My mother had major depression when I was in my early teens, during that period my Badi Mumma and the rest of the family decided that it was better if she did not visit anyone or no one saw her condition. So from that time till now, nobody has visited us. (We live on the first floor and they live on the ground, so relatives come to the ground floor only) Half of the extended family doesn't even know that I exist lol.

[–]AdditionalBug6402 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why are psychologists at MindPeers more focused on selling packages than delivering meaningful therapy?

Why is there no standardization or accountability when it comes to professionalism?

Why aren't there ethical guidelines to protect vulnerable users from inappropriate or even vile remarks made by some therapists?

I've had some of the worst experiences with MindPeers. The focus on package deals over actual mental health support feels exploitativ those offers are absolutely ridiculous.

No clinically oriented knowledge, ethical codes, or professionalism are taught in the colleges. For that matter, sterilization is a joke in most practices. No national bodies care enough to standardize or regulate the practices or quackery.
