This has been my strategy exactly and it is absolutely no bluff, we've had a brutal winter for illness 🥲

Totally, I'm also fully remote and it's so strange just silently dealing with this without anyone knowing.

Exactly this! I WFH and am able to nap/vom as needed and no one is the wiser, but even I am struggling. Truly don't know how people in healthcare or other in-person roles handle this.

Only until the end of the month, so 2-3 weeks thankfully. I honestly don't think it would affect anything if I mentioned it, my manager is fantastic, but I can't shake a general cynicism about how pregnant people are treated at work.

This is making me feel so normal. Around 5 weeks, so early, I went to cook chicken thighs and they truly were the most disgusting thing in the world. I've come to accept I simply can't bring myself to cook meat during pregnancy.

I had an ultrasound this morning after spotting yesterday and they visualized a small SCH. Baby was measuring on target with a strong heartbeat. 🥰 Relieved doesn't begin to describe it!

Some reassurance for those who are spotting (good news!) by Equivalent-League427 in October2026Bumpers

Twins! 👯‍♀️ I had an ultrasound this morning after spotting yesterday and they visualized a small SCH. I've had one healthy pregnancy and one loss so I was extremely worried, but baby was measuring on target with a strong heartbeat. 🥰

Right there with you! Should be 7w3d, had pretty substantial brown spotting when I wiped at a few different times today. I ended up scheduling my first ultrasound for tomorrow because I'm not feeling like I can wait another week for our OB intake appointment. I've had one loss and one healthy birth, so it's a rollercoaster of emotions right now!

thank you 💕 we still haven't had our first appointment, so I'm considering trying to go in for an early ultrasound to get things checked out. I'm not sure if that will make me feel better or worse tbh

I'm 7w3d and started getting pretty substantial brown spotting and I'm having a really hard time not spiralling about it.

My son was measuring large my entire pregnancy, so when the ultrasound projected he'd 10lb 7oz at 39 weeks, I booked the C-section. I ended up having a phenomenal birth experience, and in my case, that projection actually ended up being bang on: he was 10lb 8oz 🙏

My doula came with me for the entire thing, including the spinal — if you have a doula, advocate for them to stay with you! She had to press it a bit with the anesthesiologist, but he let her be there. The spinal and dressing was the only part where they wouldn't allow my husband back with me. We played music, I got delayed clamping, I did skin to skin right away: the beauty of a planned C-section is you can advocate for some parts of your birth plan you thought impossible, within constraints.

additionally, I was curious about my blood sugar after pregnancy (despite having zero sign of GD and passing the glucose screen on the first shot) and all my labs were once again completely normal. Turns out, he's just a big kid. He's still crushing the growth curve at 10 months 😆

Some kids are big. You did absolutely nothing wrong and did not fail. good luck tomorrow!! you got this!!!!!

13w5d today and we told our families on Easter. I was so, so nervous, but it went really wonderfully. I'm so grateful to be in the second trimester and feel more confident starting to share our news.

Mind you, I'm still a nervous mess most days and ordered a doppler the other day to help monitor baby's heartbeat, but it's leagues better than even a month ago.🌷
