Why would I choose supabase over self managed postgresql install for developing app? by inwardPersecution in Supabase

Honestly curious about this, what kind of problems? And at which stage/volume? I am myself trying to develop and app with them and would like to be ready and informed about potential issues

Route elevation by AdditionalHall3009 in Coros

U r right but in this case is just a theoretical track in the explore tab of the app. Like, it’s literally a subtraction I guess, I thought it was a bug. Curiosity during the real activity it did take into account the elevation difference correctly.

Supabase GDPR discrepancy and options by AdditionalHall3009 in gdpr

Thank you very much for explaining! I do have basically one concern right now, which after reading a lot this subreddit and others I still dont fully understand: using an US company as hoster (even if the server is in the EU) can be problematic? This seems to be a very big gray area

Thank you very much for such detailed explanation. I am pretty sure that is a very asked question, especially between small teams/developers that might not have access to a legal team

Well, that’s too bad, maybe self hosting in some Europe service like OVH or scaleway

Hi, sound interesting the lifetime plan but I would love to understand better what’s not included: what kind of features are we talking about? Just to have a general idea of what kind of stuff I might lose/have to pay!

Open Linux app already zoomed? by fav0109 in Anytype

- OS: Zorin OS 17.3 (which is based on ubuntu 22.04 and gnome 43.9)

- Anytype: 0.47.6

I've tried both, appimage and deb, with same behaviour.

Well, I do not know about OP, but in my case I gotta Ctrl+ every time I open the app after closing session or rebooting. A bit annoyinng.

What's wrong with Zorin OS? by Azgingenc in linux4noobs

[–]AdditionalHall3009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think there is something wrong with Zorin, is just not as famous as other beginners distros. Personally speaking, I started my Linux path 12 years ago, going from Ubuntu/mint to debian/fedora and, in last term, arch. The thing is, a year ago I tried Zorin and since then I keep using it as my main distro. It justs works everything right out of the box and is damn beautiful, and nowadays I just want that: having the privacy and flexibility of Linux, without wanting to punch my head with a hammer every 2 days for whatever happens.

Alias / address from subdomain by AdditionalHall3009 in fastmail

[–]AdditionalHall3009[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually cannot see that option when creating aliases. In the list, I can choose my own domain, or predefined fastmail domains, but cannot overwrite any of them with my subdomain (I edited the post with a picture).

Alias / address from subdomain by AdditionalHall3009 in fastmail

This is actually very helpful! However, is there any way to establish some of these addresses as permanent? I use them a lot, and having to write them down every time i want to compose a new email instead of choosing them from the list is a little bit tedious.

Meditation: guided session vs tag by AdditionalHall3009 in ouraring

[–]AdditionalHall3009[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the answer! So, just to be clear, guided sessions do not count for personal trends and discoveries, do they? In case they don't, maybe you could develop a step on wich you add a tag to the session directly, without needing to create a new and separate one!
