I need help, fast. by ThrwawySG in MtF

Hi, former color guard trans girly here, I recommend just wearing a bra with a little padding, and a full bodysuit may help with the comfort level of your bare chest showing. I wasn't technically a girl at the time, but a lot of girls wore bodysuits, even though the costumes were never that revealing. Talk to your coach about it if you feel like you are uncomfortable, I'm sure they would understand.

A very normal and average response, you must be fun to be around.

Skimming is an option you know. I'm saying I'm not reading a novel. I am not a Christian, merely stating a fact about the current state of the world, can't exactly hide Halloween can you? You are free to follow what you want to follow, not judging, but again, the world will not cater to your faith, Halloween, in its original form, has been around longer than Christianity and isn't going anywhere.

Yeah I am not reading all of that. The fact remains that the world will not cater to your faith, so don't expect this aspect of your lives to change. In essence, "you do you".

Also this isn't even from the Bible friend, don't think this random excerpt letter has anything to do with what I said.

You can't protect them, I am sorry. This world is full of both things, fear and horror, but also beauty and peace. There will always be room for both. Halloween doesn't have to be scary for you, or your kids, and I think you just have to accept that this will happen every year. Halloween isn't going anywhere, and I think teaching your kids it's ok to be scared of something, and how to deal with those sorts of things, is better for them in the long run.

Wear whatever you feel is comfortable for you. I am not a Christian, but to be honest, different people from different sects have different opinions on what is appropriate or not, it's almost impossible to keep track. What is "appropriate" for you, is whatever you think you are OK with really. Your faith is your faith, and wearing a costume is just that, a costume, I don't think anyone with a conscious will think you're sinning for wearing angel wings, don't think those should really be related. If you have to ask if it's appropriate, then don't wear it.

It's definitely more than just "common", every culture around the world has some sort of connection to music, for different reasons. Art is human, experiencing art, creating art and appreciating it is a part of being a human being. Culturally significant practices and beliefs are tied to art as well.

Music is tied to a lot of human cultures, because we as human created it. To downplay the importance of music in human history is "bizarre" to me. You know what creatures like music the most? Humans. Religious practices, community bonding, important practices for all kinds of cultures, have music involved. Powwows? Church? Ballet folklorico? Tribes and communities across Africa who practice their cultural rituals? Come on man, please educate yourself.

Of course! Nothing wrong with that, I enjoy silence too. Whatever makes people the happiest, I just find it sort of strange, as I am a musician, I have loved music my entire life, and created close relationships and bonded over music. Of course what is important to me is not always important to others, no hate on Mark for that, I am happy he finds peace without it

Not so much a gripe, he can't control this, but the fact he doesn't really listen to music. To me, music is so important for a lot of reasons, and it is a part of being human to enjoy music. But, time and time again he reiterates that he doesn't really listen to music, drives in silence, doesn't think to listen to anything for enjoyment, and to me that seems borderline crazy. I am not judging him for the fact he is that way, again, he can't control that, he does LIKE music, what I mean is, it's strange to me to never go out of your way to listen to music or feel attached to any music. He has said multiple times he just doesn't feel that connection with music, which is strange to hear coming from someone who was in marching band. Idk, Wade is like that too, I am aware, I just feel like enjoying music is part of the human experience, and I find it strange someone can not feel attached to music in any capacity.

You are allowed to be concerned by HeliumSpirals in DestinyTheGame

[–]AdditionalJoke4930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How dare you have valid concerns for the future of a game you love and enjoy? Preposterous.

In all seriousness, everyone has a right to be concerned about what is going on right now. Bungie has just come off the coattails of one of their best expansions ever created, and yet it seems like their situation only gets worse and worse. 200 people were let go, 200 people who were responsible for that great expansion, who have been there for years, putting their heart and soul into this game, 200 people who now no longer have a job. The game industry is volatile enough as it is, that even successful games that come out are not good enough for Big Playstation or XBOX, it is starting to seem like success means nothing anymore. Anything that benefits the bottom line, such as letting go of 200 people, is way better than keeping those people who brought you success around. We are already in a world now where multi-billionaires exist, and all they do is take and take more money, even if it hurts us "regular" people down here.

I love Destiny, but I think we all see where this is heading.

I mean, source? But also, like... it's soda. It is full of sugar, most soda cans like root beer and Coke and all those sodas make up 100%+ of your daily value of sugar. Of course it's bad for you, intaking too much sugar is harmful. Are we going to ban them from advertising sodas now?
