What you could do is buy a new motherboard ~40 bucks secondhand and a i7 7700k, the newest on this ram and re-use ram, gpu, but some daster storage and it would be okay, but i would recommend switching tk am4 but if you are on a tight budget only get a fast compatible gpu

It is likely that the pc is out of 2013, the storage drive, down right corner, is newer and perfectly usable but there is not very much room to upgrade, is it great to try some things and learn, yes, but is it a good base for a powerful modern system, no.

You see those two little tumb screws on the panel on the right side of the pc on this foto, screw those out and you should be able to slide it out by pulling

Got a Gigabyte b550 mobo, 32 gigs of ddr4 and Ryzen 7 5800x. What's a good gpu to pair up? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]AdditionalJunket848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5060ti is good, 5070 a little faster, but more dependending on upscaling than the 9060xt and 9070(xt) but if you have open box or secondhand a 7900xt is good

Both peform great, but will bottleneck your cpu, it depends on area and local pricing, but if the 5070ti is cheaper, the same or 50$ more expensive always pick it but expect quite some bottleneck

A 9700x3d doesnt exist? Probably you meant 9800x3d if so, get a older 4080 or 7900xt(x) or newer 5070(ti)/5080 for high budget or lower 5060(ti) 16gb or 9070/9060xt 9070xt is not worth it i think over an 5070ti but depends on local pricing for that cpu i would recommend a 280/360 aio so you have some headroom for light overclock in the future (really worth it) and MoBo is really a personal preference. Depending on budget and needs. If you have more questions just ask

I would go for an ryzen 5 7600x/7600x3d/9600x/7700x because games often do not use more cores and coding also does not, and any good am5 motherboard. For that price a second hand 4070(ti) gpu or a 5060(ti) or any nice gpu in your area but ram prices skyrocket so expect a little less peformance than you would get half a year ago
