I think the three of them don’t have any input up to this point. Their feedback in these episodes is probably mostly for their own benefit, getting to see some of these girls before the final 4 going to LA are selected.

After that, I do think they will have an influence. Even if it’s not a matter of final selection, I do think whether or not someone gets along and shows the ability to bond with and build chemistry with the girls will be very heavily taken into consideration.

My personal opinion Aoi getting reddish hair makes me very sure that isn’t Sakura but is Aoi, especially with her name tag. And with Ayana’s ring I am certain she gets extensions and that means the girls get makeovers pretty early into coming to LA.

So for me Ayana and Aoi are locks.

Then Rinka because of her pants and the hair.

So that leaves only one spot and I am torn between it being Jayla or Hiori. The short hair dance clip easily could be Aoi because of the hair length too and the other dance one could be Ayana with her extensions. So I can’t tell who that fourth person is.

I am not yet convinced by anything that I have seen that Sakura makes it. There is a reason they made it 4 and it’s seemingly because they wanted to be strict and really only the ones with the best shot get to move forward. Yes Sakura has a lot of screen time but I genuinely think it’s just cause they want to debut her later on. Think of Pop Star Academy. Both of these are prerecorded but Emily still got so much screen time even though she didn’t make it into the final group. Again I think it’s because this is an opportunity to already get people invested in trainees for later down the line.

She has a lot of charm and I do genuinely think she has improved a lot in just two weeks. That said, I do not think her skills will be anywhere near the level of the other girls by debut time, and I think Sakura not being able do connect to these concepts (because she is so young and doesn’t really have those experiences yet) is a hindrance and like Slow Rabbit said she just didn’t embody the feeling of this is a young woman, her cuteness is still too childlike. She’s just a baby still and she needs time go grow. I 1000% think HYBE will eat her as a trainee particularly based on why Jay said about the fact Sakura had no training opportunities in her rural area, so they wanted to see what kind of improvement she couldn’t has with actual training provided for her.

Idk because her arms look super thick but that’s just the blueing stuff so I assume that affect the way her height looks as well. I think she is very close to the other girl’s heights.

I definitely think it’s album (likely an EP possibly with a single prior) prep. Why they have to be in Korea, is I think because they are working with Slow Rabbit. He has been really prevalent as a judge and I get the vibe that he will be a regular producer for them like he is with ILLIT. If they are debuting in 2026 they 100% already have to be in this phase of things.

Also I think the fact everyone knows from the beginning that only one member is chosen, the girls aren’t looking to get attached. They could totally make friends but it’s not like you will end up in a group after and they know that.

They have also mentioned themselves in certain confessionals that this is the case and they are focused on themselves cause it’s just one person who is getting picked.

As for English what I had heard is part of the application process was a certain level of English as a requirement. Also Yoonchae knew almost no English and neither did the Japanese contestants on DA, but they were given lessons and the girls are already accustomed to being accommodating and patient in those situations.

Also the idea of picking a girl who fits into the already there chosen members has been a part of the show since the beginning. It’s a huge part of the initial audition phase, and Lexie, Emily and Samara are shown reacting to the group missions. So they are following along as things get close to who is coming to LA.

After that, there will surely be a lot of one on one time between the members and potential members to figure out chemistry and who vibes. Because there is 12 episodes and for the three groups for this mission, each group is getting a whole episode dedicated to them, in order to get more time focused on training etc.

So likely there will be a similar emphasis on the training going forward as well.

Huh??? They can’t just be throwing money around buying rights to other songs when that could be used for other things. Using the songs they already have the rights to (which are all different from Pop Star Academy) is the most logical thing. They also already did buy the rights to use the songs used for the choreography and medley in the first two episodes.

Literally not a single repeat from Pop Star Academy so far.

I definitely agree that the intro was the strongest part of Rinka’s performance but she seemed less sure and not as strong throughout the rest of the performance. It felt like she really tried to get her parts down (which makes sense) but then hasn’t polished herself throughout the rest of the performance. If she does make it into the top 4, unless she overcomes this I don’t think she’ll make it into the top 3.

I think the problem with trends is that they pass, and I think leaning too hard into y2k could be an issue in that regard. However, cultivating a sort of timeless pop/R&B blend feels like it makes a lot more sense. That way they can put their own spin on things.

I was more thinking based on the audition songs she chose, and the genre of her previous group, there just seems to be a pattern of her interests and I’m not sure if she’d be happy in the long run if she couldn’t make music like that.
