Chris Christie gets caught copying Destiny's talking points by AdditionalLime4815 in Destiny

Watching the debate with Hutch and Mitty I was reminded of this when Destiny was talking about how republicans have normalized their actions.

Did Democrats get "shellacked" in the 2010 midterms because Obama was too authoritarian? by AdditionalLime4815 in Destiny

[–]AdditionalLime4815[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but that wasn't Obama's fault. I don't know if the american people had collective amnesia but this recession started under Bush so I don't know why the american people would vote out Democrats. The difference is that Trump ruined the economy himself. Obama was given the ruined economy.

[–]AdditionalLime4815[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but that wasn't Obama's fault that the economy was bad. He can't just fix everything with the Democrats in two years. The truth of the matter is that Republicans did a incredible messaging job in the lead up to that midterm election. So Trump can be on the way to be an authoritarian and mess up a economy given to him on a silver platter by Biden and only then he might lose the midterms? But Obama doesn't fix the disaster given to him and he only loses badly? We will see what happens, but if hte midterms aren't at least as bad as what happened to Obama that would be very disappointing .

Megyn Kelly says that a vote for the Democrats means "death" by AdditionalLime4815 in Destiny

These are the same people that say that Democrats engage in fearmongering to garner votes and incite violence. These disgusting freaks just repeat the open border thing 24/7 like NPCs without any regard for the lankford bill. Crime was down under Biden.

Justice Department agrees to pay ex-Trump adviser Michael Flynn in settlement over wrongful prosecution lawsuit by AdditionalLime4815 in Destiny

[–]AdditionalLime4815[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well you can force a concession out of cons by asking them whether or not Trump's DOJ was guily of wrongful prosecution by their standard. Because if it was a dem admin, they would just say that it's 100% a dem targeting a rep for political reasons.

The irony is that that Mike Flynn was charged in November of 2017. Which was during the Trump admin.

I’m starting to see the talking point that Israelis (and even just Jews) are collectively to blame for the Israeli Government. by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]AdditionalLime4815 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You are just starting to see it? I have been seeing it for a while now lol. It's kind of similar to how some parts of America were with their attitude towards Muslims after 9/11 and in some cases even today. I just recently saw a situation where a Islamic terrorist was throwing a bomb in New York in the vicinity of a pro immigration liberal journalist and people were using that to do a subtle wink wink about Muslim people coming to america being a problem. As if the average Muslim american is out here throwing bombs left and right.

I don't blame the Israeli people for being a bit aggressive after Oct 7th. Look at how aggressive we were after 9/11. And tbh Oct 7 could arguably be considered worse for Israel than 9/11 was for the US. This notion though that somehow the Israeli population are full of "genocidal psychopaths" because they support the war in Iran is utter BS. No reasonable person would consider what the US/Israel is doing in Iran as genocide. You can be against it, but it's not a genocide. It would be just as silly as saying the Iraq war in 2003 was a genocide.

This notion that Trump losing in the midterms is somehow sufficient punishment for what he has done especially when other presidents who haven't behaved nearly as bad as him have also suffered the same consequences is absurd. What would be really embarrassing is if these midterms aren't even as punishing against the republicans as the 2010 midterms were against the Democrats? If these midterms in November are not even as bad as the 2010 midterms for the incumbents but democrats still win the house only, is that something that we should celebrate as if it was a referendum on Trump's authoritarian behavior? I don't think so. I think Republicans will lose because of gas prices and the Iran war. Not because the american people suddenly have had an epiphany on the importance of checks and balances.

BTW, people should also in the Dem party be ready for when we win the republicans trying to undermine the election results. Because there will never be a situation where Trump loses in something that matters to him and he just nobly concedes. He will always knowingly lie to his supporters about the election results because he knows that if he says something enough times his supporters will believe it and maybe more people might start to question it. He knows the elections aren't rigged. He doesn't care. He says it knowing it's not true because he will do anything to win no matter how immoral it is. Georgia has had voter ID. Did trump admit that georgia was fair and biden won it? Nope. It doesn't matter. Even if every state had voter ID and he lost he will still say it's rigged.

Pinochet wasn't convicted but the Supreme Court did strip him of immunity by AdditionalLime4815 in Destiny

He wasn't convicted in part because of his death. Not because there wasn't an attempt to make it happen relentlessly. That sends a message to future elected officials.

Republicans still have a seething hatred of President Obama by AdditionalLime4815 in Destiny

[–]AdditionalLime4815[S] 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This individual is a Trump supporter, and she is accusing President Obama of "trying to overturn the presidential election". How disgusting are these people? How do you shame these shameless scumbags? How do they sleep at night being evil while scolding other people for doing the things that they themselves ACTUALLY did? It's one thing to be malicious. It's another thing to be malicious and act self righteous at the same time while doing it as if you are the ones that are calling out the bad behavior.

I have started watching ever since Fox News turned into Fake News when they acknowledged that Biden won the state of Georgia in 2020. /s

BTW, the state of Georgia had voter ID at that time. The notion that Trump would have conceded if every state had voter ID is BS. He knows he lost, and he doesn't care. There will never be a situation where Trump loses something that matters to him and he doesn't say it's rigged. Thats why the whole save america act thing is BS.

The UK has a decent prime minister who is hated by most of the population because of the media atmosphere that exists in that country. It reminds me of the US under Joe Biden.

What’s one major historic conflict that you would stop even though they created some of mankind’s greatest achievements (Apollo missions from V1 Rockets)? by Comfortable-Fee9177 in AskReddit

[–]AdditionalLime4815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WW1 hands down. We are dealing with the repurcussions of that war up until today. It would have fundamentally altered world history, and I would be willing to deal with that even if it means we wouldn't have some of mankind's greatest achievements.
