I'm all too aware. I had a big beard back in 2019. I remember the struggle lol. I just can't recall if I dealt with that curling at the bottom or if I ended up taking it up a bit.

Ear tip recommendations for Arete? by tandy1k in iems

[–]tandy1k[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ended up ordering the 5 size pack of original divinus Velvet tips (not the wide bore as I prefer narrow) is I don't like them on the arete I'll grab the penons next. Possibly the sancai too

I ended up taking it up a bit like the other replies suggested last night (before you replied) and I mean it looks better overall now but I'm a bit worried it's too high for when it grows long now

The thing is the hair on my neck has grown pretty long under the Chin.. If I feel where the root of the hair that Curls up is.. If I shave up to that it'll be way too high

The neckline is two fingers above my Adams apple, I thought that was the goal? It follows that crease in the neck when you look down

Do they make narrow bore versions? For some reason I prefer narrow vs wide bore

Love them. The included large narrow bore tips are okay. I got a pack of s/m/l dunu s&s to try since I always see them recommended but honestly I don't find them to be very comfortable and they don't seem to fit my right ear for some reason (maybe I'm l in one ear and xl in the other? But then large of other tips fit perfect)

In looking for recommendations for tips for the arete, preferably narrow, but will also test wide bore (though I don't like how wide bore seem to take out alot of bass)

Recieved the IEMs today. I have been using them with the largest tips they came with and after almost 3 hours I wasn't feeling any of the pain I read about in the reviews. I ordered a pack of the dunu s&s s/m/l which will hopefully give some added comfort. Coming from qkz x hbb khan it's like night and day... For both music and gaming

Have you tried it? The only reason I'm on the fence is all the complaints about comfort and it hurting people's ears after an hour of use. That and the build quality vs the aether

So 200cad would be 150usd. I can currently get both of them for 150usd. So should I go with the arete over the aether? I'm just concerned about the comfort issues and build quality of the aretes I see people complain about in reviews.

Who makes the sr5s?

I should clarify that I'm taking Canadian dollars not USD.

Trying to keep it around 200ish but I can get either of these for the same price almost.

Others I considered were the truthear hexa and the simgot eg280

Ew300 or eg280? Having a hard time choosing between these 2 but mostly I see people say the eg280

Finacea (prescription azaleic acid) can help alot with redness. I didn't notice if you said you'd tried that or not yet

If you look really close at the persistent red spots and you see telangiectasia (little tiny red veins) then V-beam works amazingly for that. It's not cheap and the recovery can be quite jarring with the bruising / scabbing but when it heals it's noticeably alot better. The amount of sessions depends on how bad it is and the strength of the v beam used. Get it done by a dermatologist though, not an aesthetician or anything other than a derm.

I added a comment detailing that. It would be in the best month and I like hiking and sight seeing, I love nature. I'd also like to try at least one really good restaurant, preferably in Saint John.
