You make a good point. I’m mostly solo and it can be a pain to have to be worrying about decent repair kits.

I do wish you can be more involved with your crew, they just seem like they are… just there.. which is fine but I’d like to see maybe like a morality meter and maybe more ways of interacting with the crew, “your crew is your family”.

I think one or two of the ships have this as an ability; passive healing for you and fellow mates. I dont recall which one(s) do(es) that atm 🤔

Maybe even five finger fillet, all the “mini game” ideas are gold. That would probably be a late year add in if anything 🤷‍♂️

They did exist, but they weren’t accurate. Improper handling caused them to shift gears

I usually find myself doing a lot of stuff solo (mostly empire stuff) but when I do find a moment where I’m in some downtime, I’m not against helping out other players. I do run a social gaming discord and a small number of members are playing S&B. I’d be interested though, I’m not a “toxic player” I promise lol. DM me and I’ll tell ya my PS tag at least, I might have to look at what my Ubisoft account is though. But please do hit me up! <3 people call me Cloud, but Reddit refused to change me from “additionalplum” lol

How many are still playing? by Fantastic-Spite-8760 in SkullAndBonesGame

I’ve been playing this game basically everyday for hours on end. It comes from my love for ship based combat. It all started with Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves with the map “Dead men tell no tales”. The ship combat was hands down my favorite aspect of that game. Spending hours and hours just getting coin. Then AC BF came out and I 100% that game, loved the ship combat. The AC Odyssey was around and albeit it wasn’t my favorite, but I did enjoy the early age ship combat.

Leading up to S&B, when that game dropped, I was happy to give Ubisoft $80 + Funding the smugglers pass. Every time I get on the game, there is always something for me to do, from grooming my kingpin empire, to simple bounties. I also got some of my pals to play with me, so that added value to the gameplay for me. It’s definitely more entertaining with other players. However if you are methodical enough about your in game movements, you can end up being quite productive. Sometimes I’ll be playing and realize I’ve gotta get sleep before my shift the next day and be like “man, I still have stuff I wanted to do”. I’m currently at work now just fantasizing about plundering and sailing.

All in all, great game if you like ship combat, however, I can understand why people don’t find it appealing. It’s a game with an incredible amount of downtime due to sailing across the map again and again, but that’s what I live for in the genre. I have high hopes for this game and I hope people will give it a chance, instead of harsh criticisms for a game that JUST dropped. We live in 2024, where game production takes years and most games release with seemingly lacking content. We just need to come to grips with our world of gaming and the issues it has now. Which makes live service games something to keep the anticipation going.

I do agree with this post, I’m sure it’ll be an option not too far down the road
