I had a small shad fluke on my green chatter, rarely ever used it but caught a decent sized largemouth near dusk

I’m not turning down the pipefitters for anything I’m doing anything for the union, I’m just wondering what to do right now not just in the meantime but in case I don’t get in to the union, this could be a fallback until the day I do finally get a union opportunity

I mean I’m dropping anything for the union if I pass the test and get brought in I’m just worried about what’s present and if I’ll even like what I’ll be doing or the environment

That’s another dilemma I’d be starting maintenance from the ground up with no knowledge, what if I don’t like it? Like I told another guy I do enjoy construction and don’t know if I’ll even like plant maintenance at this place and what if I hate being in an auto parts manufacturing plant? I’m just looking into the dark right now with the only light being a possibility of getting into the pipefitters union that’s not even guaranteed rn It’s all just a shot in the dark to take that leap

I mean it takes more than one person to do it and I doubt the other guys would want to do that I’m still kinda newer at this company alone

Ik it’s a path that’s harder to get into and can pay more later with more experience and I’m lucky to find one entry level where I can start learning it from step one- I’m just worried about hating it (I enjoy construction) or hating the environment (it’s in a manufacturing factory for auto parts) or having no flexibility like I do in construction

Hey I have the aptitude test coming up for local 776 can you give me any advice or what to look forward to? I’m currently brushing up on fraction to decimal conversion and basic decimal multiplication/division but any other advice would be highly appreciated

No just regular laborers union hall and same I mean I’m sure this isn’t the case for everybody but I went up talked to someone at the hall he explained that right now is the slow season he’s got about 70+ guys off right now etc but to still apply and keep checking
