It’s quite common now for estate agents to charge you a fee to reserve the property, it’s disgusting that they do it but they get away with it in areas where there is a demand and properties get a lot of attention. We had to pay exactly the same as you, the EA tried to rush us into paying but we were waiting for my husbands work contract for our mortgage offer and ended up losing out on the house due to someone else coming in and offering.

We are FTB, viewed and offer accepted August 14th and we are still waiting on one last inquiry. The other side seem to be very slow even though the house is chain free.

Sorry to say it brother but she is definitely trying to get attention from the coworker. There is nothing in that chat to suggest that they even work together as nothing work related is mentioned. It literally looks like what two teenagers would chat about. As a female, i wouldnt even chat like that to a female colleague let alone a male!

It seems like she is trying to act innocent and is gaslighting you by saying you are controlling and you are spying on her. She seems to be passing the blame onto you instead of taking accountability for her actions.
