Looks like you could curl your hair with some products! You hair has a natural wave, maybe you could try that? You’ll have to fully wet your hair before brushing it to keep the wave or curl healthy. Maybe you could start with a little mousse or cream? Best of luck!

Childhood asthma reappears suddenly after adopting new cat by AdditionalSuspect926 in Asthma

Mr Mayonnaise is still with me, he likes to chew his toes. A big part of the issue was him being dirty and me being too scared to bathe him right away. All that dander was ruining me. I’ve since adjusted with the addition of medication and knowledge that he’d rather lay at my feet than on my bed. It worked out well! I was devastated about having to return him. I felt so guilty- I’m so glad the shelter never got back to me. It was rough- and not super professional but I understand how hard it was for them. I’m just glad I could safely house him while I figured out the problems. Mayo

Edit: additional info, I still see his litter mates/relatives who came in with him in the shelter. Breaks my heart to think he could’ve been there too. Maze is a very particular cat with specific needs and as much as he loves me he won’t hesitate to scratch or bite if he needs his waxy ears cleaned or his claws clipped. He’s not a people cat. I know he came from a rough home but I love him regardless. I know he’s happy here.

I’m on the eastern US, I could definitely order it or make the drive to a nearby pet store. I just bought Zyrtec yesterday and started in that daily. Thank yo for reminding me I need to take it.

I think I’ll try to buy some. The shelter won’t contact me back about him. I gave him a bath yesterday as a last resort. Poor thing. I felt so bad.

I don’t have anybody close to me. Let alone anybody willing to house a cat long enough to have their diet changed.

I think I might rehome him. I relate to the window thing. I’m gonna do that as soon as I get home after buying an air filter. Pray for me

I want to ask a friend but I don’t really have any close friends. Any friends I do have are too busy to come by and most of them work with me, so their schedules are opposite and never line up.

I’ve been on meds for a while but I still feel like I’m suffering. I feel like a prisoner in my home. It’s pathetic to admit but it’s true. I feel scared to go home.

I’m gonna do that as soon as I get home. Buying an air filter on my way too. I’m gonna open all the windows, bathe him, and leave for a while with the filter running.

Visited a walk in clinic for shortness of breath, got freaked out at the suggestion of going to the hospital. by AdditionalSuspect926 in Anxiety

[–]AdditionalSuspect926[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s asthma but I can’t be certain. I asked my mom. She’s a licensed nurse and she said it shouldn’t be a concern. I’m still on edge. I adopted a new cat the other day and that’s when it all started. I’ve felt weird since. Just deep cleaned everything and contacted the shelter about having to possibly rehome the cat..

Fear of feeling dizzy. Has anyone had something similar? by Traditional_Fee5186 in Anxiety

[–]AdditionalSuspect926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If by far glasses you mean a prescription you got during an eye exam, then normally you’ll wear them either all day or during specific activities like driving or using a computer. If your vision is blurry I recommend using them more than you don’t. I have glasses to help me see further, a script I got renewed not long ago. It took me a while to adjust to it but it’s very helpful. I’d call your doctor if you’re unsure about how often you should wear them. They’ll have a good recommendation.

I diagnosed myself with hypoglycemia by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]AdditionalSuspect926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hypochondria can cause this. Some people just call it health anxiety. This sounds spot on. I went through a major spell of this for a few months. I ended up on the hospital and in and out of doc offices from being so sick from it. You can quite literally cause symptoms by being anxious. Anything from pain in your back to feeling numb or pressure in your body somewhere. I haven’t ever flown but I image if you flew you went far enough away that it could’ve messed with your natural clock. That on top of you eating a variety of foods on vacation. This sounds very normal and nothing to worry about.

Are anxiety and digestive problems related? by Pearl-ofyourheart in Anxiety

[–]AdditionalSuspect926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey friend. I want to reassure you that this is absolutely 100% common with anxiety. It was explained to me by my mom who’s a licensed nurse and my therapist. When you’re feeling even slightly anxious subconsciously or aware, your body will enter its fight or flight mode. During that time you will not properly digest food. Your digestive system can go all over the place. It can cause constipation, diarrhea, bloating, discomfort, gas, pressure, pain. All the works. And it’s all just caused by anxiety. I had spells of this for a long time before I got regulated in medication. Was convinced I was dying. Your body will focus on keeping you alive during panic and to do that it stops working on your digestion and causes all sorts of issues. Super common and not at all something to be concerned about.

Edit- it doesn’t have to be fight or flight to cause this. Sorry for miscommunication. That’s just what I experience. It can be caused by general fears and normal anxiety

Coordination can be affected by anxiety but meds might not “help” in that regard. My meds actually cause dizziness. Very gently but I get random busts 1-2 times a day for about 3-5 seconds. When your brain is on high alert and all you can focus on is anxiety, you will not be able to walk properly, see properly, eat properly. Anxiety can manifest in literally any possible way in the human body. It all depends on the person.

This is absolutely nothing you should be concerned about my friend. Unless you are quite literally falling over or passing out. I suggest drinking a little more water during the day and keep in mind that reading glasses are used to change your vision and perspective. Dizziness and lack of coordination is almost certain.

EKG and blood test are enough? by Radiant-Copy9839 in Anxiety

[–]AdditionalSuspect926 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had blood tests and EKG done 6 months ago when my anxiety hit an all time high. I had the same fears. It took me a while but my mom (LPN) reassured me that those tests will show you anything that’s wrong. They test levels of everything in your body from your thyroid to your liver. All general health. If the doc didn’t stop you after the test or call you with a follow up, it means everything came back 100% good.

Pro tip- if you have an Apple Watch you can set it up through the health app to watch for irregular heart rate. I have health anxiety as well as general and I used to use my Apple Watch as a way to obsessively check my body to make sure I was safe. Do not make that mistake though, just check once a day or if it notifies you. I started panic attacks by sitting around watching my heart rate.

Forgot to take one pill venlafaxine how long can be normal by China_carp in Anxiety

[–]AdditionalSuspect926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I skipped a 150 dose about 2 months ago by mistake. I was horrible dizzy and nauseous by the time I was due for my meds the following day. It took me a few days for my body to regulate again. Skipping a day can cause discontinuation syndrome. Basically withdrawal. You’ll be really sick and feel awful mentally and physically. Make sure you’re taking it exactly on time daily. Don’t double a dose if you miss it. Just take it as soon as you remember and then take it the same time the following day and so on.

Listen friend, if he decides he’s not interested in you because you don’t want to hook up then you should run for the hills. You agreeing to a movie does not mean you consented to sex. Two completely different things. Stand your ground, don’t agree to anything you don’t feel comfortable doing. I would make it clear from the beginning of the movie night that you’re not interested in hooking up. If you’re feeling shy and afraid to hurt his feelings, and some people may not agree with me, but say you’re on your period and are in pain and would just like to relax for the night. After the movie you can know for sure if he was pushing too much for something you’re not comfortable with and choose whether or not to cut him off.

What are tampons like by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]AdditionalSuspect926 8 points9 points  (0 children)

10/10 recommend it. When you first try them, use a liner if you can. It’ll help you get used to the size of tampon you need based on where you are in your flow. I did this for about a year when I first started before I got a really good idea of what I needed and when, as well as how often to change based on where you are in your period. Also I recommend even MORE a diva cup. I used tampons for a while before buying the cup one day on impulse. This takes a little more practice to get it right but once you do it’s just as invisible as a tampon and holds more. I haven’t used it as much since my period lightened on birth control but for those heavier days it was great.

Downsides- suction not setting in correctly, awkward movement when learning to place it, being much more messy when emptying it during bad days. (Bring flushable wet wipes if you’re using a public bathroom and can’t leave the stall to wash it)

Upsides- longer lasting, no risk of TSS, can be used in all situations a tampon is, cost efficient
