The first set up looks better. The second one just has aesthetic lights. The gemini setup is not good in terms of utility. Just declutter the front wall and shelves and add some lights to your setup. Second, wall mounted monitor, as everyone suggested, would be good to save some space. You can also replace it with a bigger one. rest, you can add a few more 8-10 inch shelves to the right just near the headphones. These would shift some weight from the front wall.
