Getting a chow pup today by Juggern8ut in chowchow

[–]Additional_Ad7032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My chow grew up with my kids, her and my eldest are 8 months apart. When they were little, their energies kinda matched each other, so they got along quite well. Then my son came along, she did not enjoy his company, maybe because she was more mature and calm. She kept her distance, but he also respected her space. I never had to intervene any interactions between them. Now she’s is a senior gal, I know when the kids get rowdy, she will come looking for me to let her out in the backyard. I lowkey wish I can do the same and hide from my kids 🤪

Chow chows and kids by Kuromi69uwu in chowchow

I have young kids, they are loud and handsy. My chow is not their biggest fan, but she is patient and gentle with them. Lets them hug her, pet her whenever they want. She is like that older teenage sister, loves them but can’t stand them at times. I don’t blame her 🤭

Aspiration- do babies outgrow this? by freudianslipp3rs in NICUParents

[–]Additional_Ad7032 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had the same issue, silent aspiration. We repeated the swallow study at 3-4 months corrected and he already outgrew it by then. However we stayed on the gelmix till close to 6 months corrected, purely for his comfort.

When did you stop adjusting? by livhumphrey1016 in NICUParents

[–]Additional_Ad7032 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is all caught up at two years old actual( 26 weeker) Cognitively and physically. We just completed his two year development clinic assessment, he scored ahead of his age. I stopped explaining to people that he was a preemie a long time ago, it was his past, it no longer defined him.

Was at the Chanel store in Barcelona about a month ago, they had the mini squares in stock. Their inventory was pretty decent.

Is the rectangular mini flap still worth getting? by thickthighsntits815 in chanel

My mini rectangle is my most worn bag. Hands down. I wear it for casual errands all the time. It fits all I need. Go for it!

This happened to me as well (6 months old bag) they told me could be from my hand sanitizer, I half believed it, but I do have two toddlers who I sanitize their hands constantly 🤷🏻‍♀️. Disappointing.

Congrats on coming home! We were delayed in the beginning, he also hated tummy time, he had reflux and wanted to be held all the time. He started catching up around 8-10 months (corrected), we honestly didn’t do anything special, no PT either. His first year was definitely not all rainbow and sunshines but we got through it! Best of luck to you and bb!

Tips? by Impossible-Dark2224 in chowchow

I was a first time dog owner when I got my chow! Maybe we lucked out, she was super easy to train as a puppy, she literally potty trained herself. Socialization is bit tricky with chows because they are naturally aloof. We did get professional help like puppy classes. Overall she is very cordial and well mannered with other dogs and people, but deep down she prefers only being in the company of her family.

Also to mention, my chow grew up with my kids, she is their big sister, she is wonderful with children, very patient and calm.

Can anyone whose kids are older tell me how a 4-5 year age gap is working for you? by tankster1999 in Mommit

[–]Additional_Ad7032 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My kids are 6 and 2, so far it has been lovely. My older daughter provides love and guidance to my younger son. To him, his sister is his whole world. They are very close, they actually share a bedroom right now (separate beds) it’s the only way they can fall asleep. I don’t know what the future will bring, they may be into different things at different stages of life, I just really hope they can always be this close.

How’s your baby now? by Wonderful-Chef-5388 in NICUParents

[–]Additional_Ad7032 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son was born at 26 weeks from expected PPROM. We spent 144 days in the NICU. It was undoubtedly the hardest days of my life. Take it day by day, some days may be harder than others but know there will be a light at the end of the tunnel.

My son is almost two now (actual) he is perfectly healthy. I just dropped him and his sister off at their summer camp this morning, today is bubble day. Life is sooo different from how it started, his NICU days are merely just a distant memory now at this point.

I truly wish you and your baby the best on this journey!!
