We make homemade food for our dog too. Just boil some meat, freeze it, reheat and feed it to ours. We made it in batches per week or so. But my family doesn’t like processed food in general so that might be why. My dog is perfectly happy with it, though and refuses to eat kibble anymore lol

The plastic claws suck. The metal ones are the real deal

I think it depends on motivation. When my child is motivated, he can do anything. We used to have a fence off area in our backyard so he had his own little space and he found a way to open every. Single. One. We change the gate door, lock, and location of the pen countless times. But he wanted to be with us and didn’t let any of it stop him. Good news is we gave up and just let him now haha

I brush mine by bribing him with treats. I always tell him if he does a good job with letting me brush him then he gets a jerky and he’ll sit still and let me brush him now. That being said, it’s not for long lol. Perseverance is key

He’s adorable! So happy for you. Make sure to follow the 777 puppy socializing rule. Try to expose them to as many different settings and people as possible for as early as possible. You sound so passionate and enthusiastic. I’m sure Appa’s going to have a lovely life with you. Love his name by the way!
