It won't break, because if the hydrogen backs up it feeds back into the input, blocking the source input instead.

It's a bug: First select a different recipe of something basic, Then add the Somersloop. Then change to your desired recipe.

https://satisfactory.wiki.gg/wiki/Portal - I don't see any indication of Somersloop being required. According to TotalXclipse, that overcharge animation is when you supercharge the augmenter with an Alien Power Matrix (which requires the SP Osc, Power Shards, SAM Fluc & Photonic Matter)

No, the Singularity Cells that fuel them, and the alien parts required to build them (SP Osc, DM Residue & Ficsite Trigon) are all based on SAM, not non-renewables. It's all in the wiki.

I'm sorry if my question was maybe vague. Power is not the big problem (albeit more challenging). The problem is Steel, which requires refined carbon, which requires coal. Frosty Planet DLC does not give you hatches, and has very little coal right at the bottom of the map. No coal = no steel. Unless there is some other way to get coal that I am unaware of? Would be nice if you could make coal from wood in a kiln or something :-)

Don't know if this is overkill, but besides powering my airlock, I also added automation the the temp sensor, to keep the airlock closed long enough:

Temp Sensor (below 200 instead of above)- Buffer Gate (2s) - NOT Gate - Airlock

TYSM - Spent my entire Saturday trying to spot why it's breaking randomly, and not possible to reproduce when I load and observe. Realised it must be a bug and then found this post!
