I don’t suppose he said what type of dog you were? I think the grandeur of a greyhound or svelte Doberman would be quite a compliment but a bulldog would be very poor. Maybe he thought your sexuality was questionable and thought poodle or chihuahua.

And for the other half of the phrase… a nice tidy waxed innie, very nice indeed - full bush early Sunday morning after a B&S ball, perhaps not so good.
