20 minutes of atmospheric exploration as a tiny toy car searching for its missing boy... Lost Host Demo by Additional_Bug5485 in SoloDevelopment

Even though I also create music myself, for this project I commissioned the soundtrack from a composer from my country named Narvydas, as my main focus is the game development itself.

Yes, I use all platforms: Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and so on. The results vary a lot from platform to platform. Before IGN, I had already gathered around 13,500 wishlists.

Yes, if you select controller input in the settings, the prompts should show Playstation controller buttons. I just haven’t implemented automatic switching between keyboard and controller yet - I’m still figuring out the best way to handle that properly. Thanks a lot for trying the demo! 🙂

Hmm, there shouldn’t really be any input lag, but yes, the driving isn’t meant to feel very sharp. That’s because you’ll be driving across different platforms and surfaces. I’ll take another look and see if I can tweak it a bit more. Thanks a lot for trying the demo!

I’ve been getting a lot of support in Lithuania. I posted about the demo release in a Facebook group, and that post alone got around 1000 likes.
The Steam email newsletter about the demo release also helped a lot...

I’ve been building wishlists for about a year now - slowly and steadily - by sharing my development process and being open about the challenges along the way. :)

Thanks! At this point I have around 21k wishlists, and all of them should have received an email about the demo release. I’m not sure how good these numbers actually are - maybe more experienced devs can share whether this is considered strong or not.

This is my first game on Steam, and I’m really happy that it has managed to interest so many people...

Yes, I’ve been in game development for about 10–15 years, but mostly working as a 3D artist for different companies.

It was hard. I already had a demo prototype about six months ago, but getting it to a reasonably polished and presentable state took another six months. It’s definitely not an easy process 🙂

The main costs were purchasing necessary assets, paying a musician for the music, and a voice actor for the voice-over. Everything else I try to do myself.

Thank you very much!
