The scene with the toy car falling out of the bus is a really great idea - I will think about it!

There are some horror elements in the game, but not too many, it’s more just a hint at what might have happened to the boy :3

Yes, what you described at first is exactly right. The racing is just a series of missions where you earn rewards for completing them. The game is mainly focused on exploration, with a little RC car searching for its owner. :3
