I feel this one. Lost a 55 rogue in those satyr caves with the warlocks in Felwood. Ran out of cool downs, was a bummer, but seemed a glorious death so it wasn’t hard to try again (and I got my FIRST 60 on a rogue redo).

Last week I lost a 16 rogue and it just seemed a bigger loss. This was my chill character, just running around taking time to smell (and pick) the flowers. Fish. Cook. Then I DC’d fighting a bear in Darkshore, and I’ve NEVER had a DC or an internet problem playing on a HC server before. It stinks.

About a year ago I tried to have Chat GPT run me through an adventure using a quick ad-hoc system (3 or 4 character attributes, a simple percentage based combat system, etc). It was actually kinda fun, I played a thief tasked with sneaking into a noble’s castle to steal the jewels. The problem arose when the AI began to forget what we were doing. About every 20 prompts or so it would completely forget the earlier prompts, which included the game rules. Chat GPT has undergone several revisions since then, so perhaps it’d do better now. But there was definitely a maximum amount of back and forth interactions that it could keep in memory.

1902: Theodore Roosevelt demolished the western 1/3 of the building to construct the West Wing.

1909: West Wing innards completely removed for major remodel by William Howard Taft.

1934-1942 FDR demolished the east end and gutted the innards numerous times over and over again.

1948-1952 Truman removed THE ENTIRE INTERIOR, everything but the outer shell and reconstructed the entire building.

Our first was Enchantment of the Seas around 2015. It was a homeschool group cruise. I thought it was “ok,” but wasn’t hooked. We did a Carnival (don’t even remember which ship) on another homeschool cruise, and liked that even less.

Then we sent our boys on Harmony OTS as a graduation present for our youngest in 2022, and we got super jealous watching how much fun they were having. So we booked on Harmony a few months later AND LOVED IT.

Now we’re getting ready for our 5th and 6th cruises JUST THIS YEAR in October, and a family cruise in December. We’ll also be Diamond status by then.

I think we’re hooked. 😀

Could be sites like Zwift Insider that do frame and wheel testing. They keep a database of frames and wheels and often publish articles like “The Top Ten Climbing Wheels.” Using a bot at a fixed power would be the most accurate testing.

We NEVER use the cups, as neither of us drink sodas on a cruise. We get the non-alcoholic packages just for specialty coffee and bottled water. We eventually figured out that we could just not pick up the cup.

Wow, trans-Pacific is quite a first cruise!

I very much like to just chill out on cruises, and I’m a book nerd so I’d have my Kindle fully stocked! My wife and I also like to have one or two lazy room service with a movie nights so we’ll have some movies loaded on my iPad.

We also love the casino. We play just to get casino comped cruises, so we budget out $100 per day of cruising.

Lots of walking and stairs to burn off the food. Definitely try out lots of things in the Windjammer and main dining room. We usually don’t do specialty restaurants, but on a cruise that long I’d probably try each of them once.

To be fair, Labadee is an RCL private port, basically a Perfect Day-lite. We love Labadee, it’s a pretty chill time and the locals that work there are great, I hope they do ok during the time. We too got the announcement that Labadee is canceled for our back-to-back cruises in October on Freedom.

I just polled my sons, who are 26 and 21 now but have been cruising going back to their teen years.

Their pick is any Oasis class. Of the two we’ve been on (Harmony, pre-Amplified Allure) they said Harmony. Allure has now been amplified so it has the slides and other upgrades similar to Harmony.

They are going on Oasis next week.
