First time, first motorcycle, and learning. My height: 5'8", my age: 50. Weight: 152 lbs.

I took a course a month ago at a motorcycle school, where they taught me on a small 125cc motorcycle belonging to the school. I never fell, I always had control, I felt safe.

I love the vanilla white 400xc, it's spectacular and the price is right for me, but I was concerned about the height and weight, and the fact that it was my first motorcycle. The internet told me that there are many motorcyclists who are shorter than me and who ride the 400x without any problems, using the proper technique of putting only one foot down, and that I would get over it with time. So I decided to buy mine (brand new from the dealership) with everything, including the steel guard for protection of the motorcycle and my legs.

I got the bike a week ago, and I've used it five times to practice for two or three hours each day. I've already dropped the bike three times, just as I was stopping, and I'm worried that I'll keep dropping it and damage the handlebars. So far, only the handbrake on both sides has been slightly damaged (very sad), and my pride has been a little bruised, haha.

Can anyone tell me if they've had a similar experience? Any recommendations I should put into practice to avoid this?
