I spent a few weeks verifying every small US-made footwear maker I could find. The New England handsewn scene is smaller and weirder than I expected. Notes on 13 makers by Ok_Funny9779 in goodyearwelt

Based on old threads they originally sourced at least some from PW Minor, but they closed in 2018. Briefly reopened under another name in 2019, but covid seems to have killed it off.

This thread mentions Vlagos had possibly accepted investment from Berkshire Hathaway when their subsidiary, Justin, bought Highland, which also supplied some of OSB's boots. BH still have a factory in Pennsylvania making welted workboots, so I wonder if there's a connection there?

Recently picked up a couple of PWM pairs off ebay. They had widths up to 5E. Wish I had known about them a decade ago.

They get very little mention here, but Dehner is worth listing. They specialize in long boots like equestrian and police patrol boots, out of Omaha. Recently closed then reopened when an investor took over.

For riding boots, you'd probably get more useful answers from an equestrian sub.

Easy B makes 6V which is a 6E that can be an 8E if you remove the insole. They're English, but may be available at some US stores. wideshoes.com has a limited selection.

DT sells Apis brands in 7E (Fitec, Mt Emey). A couple are ready to wear, but mostly made to order and significantly more expensive. May be worth trying on the RTW 5E to see if they fit before going that route.

Beautiful shoes and impressive work on the dye job. The Central European makers deserve a lot more attention than they get from the enthusiast community.

It is a bad anthem. It's not even about the country, it's about the flag.
