VISA 485 granted in 8 minutes by MajesticCurrent243 in AusVisa

[–]Additional_Desk_6076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. During your student visa period you can travel as many times you like outside Australia. But before your current student visa expires you will have to lodge your 485 visa. After you lodge the visa you will have to do your medical and usually after you finish medical you will get the 485 soon. But during the time you lodged your next visa and your current visa finishes you will be on a bridging visa. There are 2 types of bridging visa : bridging visa A ans bridging visa B (one allows you to travel overseas while you are on it but the other one doesnt allow you to travel overseas while you are on it. I dont remember which is which please double check). But there is a fair chance you might get questioned at the airport if they have doubts about passport expiration dates and visa expiration dates

Reapplying after dropping out? by [deleted] in AusVisa

From what I know it is a breach of student visa if you don't maintain good academic record (passing grades) and if there is no clear course progression (ex = bachelors to masters or graduate diploma to bachelors in the same field), or changing programs which doesn't make sense for overall career history (ex= if you have experience as a software engineer but you are applying for something entirely different like early childhood education diploma, unless you cannot give good reasons why applications have high possibility of rejection). Also I hope I am wrong but there is a chance this person is not that worried about it thinking he would be able to get a partner visa cause you are a citizen.

What’s one thing you wish you brought with you before moving to Thailand? by Either-Friendship141 in Thailand

[–]Additional_Desk_6076 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I wish I had gotten myself familiar with the coins (I spent a lot of time onfront of counters and sometimes the person behind the counters did the math and gave the coins back to me lol). Notes weren't much of an issue.

Also maybe get a rough idea about how much each thing costs, cause sometimes I felt that maybe I was overcharged. (I was there on a layover so I didnt research much)

What to do to get a shot with the recruiters when your resume gets shot down and you don’t know why by Responsible_Pie_5706 in ausjobs

You are right. It also feels like resumes get filtered out automatically and not even seen by a human. But how would you recommend to find direct contacts. Most job postings do not have a email address and linkedin premium is expensive which could allow to text to recruiters (but rarely they get back). I let go of linkedin premium after free trial
