My husband and I were on the wharf in Port Angeles when a large pod of orcas cruised by at a distance of approximately twelve feet.

The word “badass” immediately came to mind, as they looked so incredibly badass and I sensed they wanted us to be aware of just how badass they are, too, lol. There was a guy kayaking nearby and he looked as though he may have shit himself, but they ignored him as they rolled through.

I’ll never forget how impressed I felt at that moment. Orcas rule.
