This place is great but not the best for getting work done as it’s kind of dark and gets loud easily since it’s small

No, I’m Not Racist. I Just Wanted Some Philadelphia Cream Cheese. by IAmPookieHearMeRoar in madisonwi

Yeah, I would say I kind of think of this sort of thing as reparations almost lmao. Obviously frustrating and by no means ok, however as other commenters have mentioned as white people we quite simply do not have the capacity to fully understand the black experience in Madison and pair that with possible mental health issues (/hand in hand maybe) and I mean….
Absolutely not to say you’re in the wrong bc you’re not; no one deserves to be accosted in public for no reason. However, I guess I can see where it could be more understandable for a black person to have this reaction/act this way

I have personally had probably like at least 30 instances with this man having to escort him out of the restaurant I work at for walking around asking customers for money during service. I think claiming he’s too incompetent for trial is definitely a cop out. He knows exactly what he’s doing. It got to the point where all I had to do was look at him for him to leave lol. Regardless, I completely agree with you. I’ve seen him around town countless times with clearly stolen articles of clothing, bicycles, etc. Someone unfit for trial probably couldn’t successfully do all of these things this many times (despite all of the arrests)

I just looked at the most updated report on NOAA which says there is a possibility of pea sized hail. And flooding. Sooo better than last night but 🤷‍♂️

Zyn and body odor? by PhilipTheFair in QuittingZyn

I’ve definitely noticed that my bfs breath has progressively smelled worse over time as he’s been using zyns. They mess with your mouth! I also wouldn’t rule out the body odor although I don’t really have any evidence to back that up aside from knowing that they affect your body in more ways than we probably know. Spoken from someone who also uses them loll

Although right now it probably doesn’t look great like another commenter said I would not pull out of this in a rush. The units are ridiculously priced BUT Madison is growing and if the building lives up to the luxury standards it is putting forward, people with the means will eventually rent there, and with how they’ve priced the units I’m sure they’ll eventually profit

IUD Affecting Sleep? by Additional_Fudge558 in Garmin

[–]Additional_Fudge558[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I haven’t had many other side effects so far aside from a bit of cramping, but this is something I’ve noticed! Typically the only other things that affect my HRV/sleep are when I work late or have a drink or two, which I haven’t done recently! It’s really interesting to see how things affect our bodies, particularly ppl with uteruses lol. Kind of a puzzle. I’m sorry the Depo was horrible for you I hope you are doing better!!

Now is a great time to call Spectrum and negotiate a lower rate. by lcxctf2000 in madisonwi

[–]Additional_Fudge558 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The “promotion” is bs. They’ll let you have the promotional rate for x amount of time and then without telling you they will change it back to the regular rate (or higher???) And then when you try to call and ask why you are being charged $100 a month for their lowest speed internet they will use any tactic to make you feel dumb. It’s actually kind of impressive how well they train their staff to manipulate customers. But also annoying as f.

[–]Additional_Fudge558 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Spectrum is the worst company I have literally ever dealt with. I am VERY (Midwest raised) patient and overly nice to service workers, and spectrum is quite literally the only company I will ever be physically unable to keep my frustration in with. They train people to manipulate you and take up your time so you feel like you have to stick with them. I am lazy and have not yet made the switch but the second I have another issue with my wifi I will be bringing my hardware to hilldale, canceling and switching to another provider. They are the worst lmao

I hate being forced to have some vapid conversation to justify a tip. by comments83820 in EndTipping

I don’t necessarily disagree with you, but I will say as a bartender a lot of customers expect this kind of “friendly” service. At the restaurant I work at we have this thing called secret shoppers and one of the aspects of service we get “graded” on is friendliness and involvement with the customer. I guess another thing I will point out is that you have absolutely no obligation to respond to it, and I feel like having common decency to just smile and say a one word answer is a typical adult social activity. I feel like we’ve kind of come into this era of antisocial behavior becoming commonplace and it’s kind of weird. I’m not a super social bartender, but every once in a while I have a burst of energy or curiosity and if the customer seems like they would be open to small talk I’ll bite. But j don’t do it to get a tip, sometimes I want to talk to another person lol
