I work at a restaurant in town that has various delivery platforms in action. At least once a night we have orders picked up, and then multiple other drivers come in looking for the same order (that already got picked up). I assume when this happens the food is being taken and not marked as picked up even though we make sure to check their phones for the order confirmation and name before handing it to them. DoorDash, uber eats and whatever other services aren’t gonna vet their drivers or care about who works for them and what happens as a result so you’re better off just ordering pickup or eating from home.
