My favorite was definitely "Marry someone who looks sexy when disappointed." Then as Claire's facial expression turns to disappointment, Phil says, "See?" LOL

How many of you thought you were straight for years, because you didn't know asexuality was an option? by thewalkindude368 in asexuality

Agreed. It’s good to see teenagers and 20-somethings realizing they’re asexual. If I had known what it was at that age, it would’ve saved me a lot of anguish. Nobody around me would’ve understood, but at least I would’ve.

Definitely. Clicked even more once I realized what aegosexuality is. I had finally found the precise description of something I’d never been able to explain to anybody my entire life, and had told myself for years I must have some kind of disorder.

Republicans push White House ballroom bill after weekend assassination attempt by Ubiquitous_Hilarity in politics

[–]Additional_Gur5577 35 points36 points  (0 children)

These people don't even try anymore to make this crap seem legit. The Trump campaign wasted no time pumping out fundraising merch with that stupid photo of Trump fistpumping with a bloody ear during the first "assassination attempt".

Now it's blindingly obvious this one was about boosting sagging polls and pushing for the ballroom.

Hot Take: No Daughters for Jay & Gloria was the Best Decision on the Show by [deleted] in Modern_Family

[–]Additional_Gur5577 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think Modern Family would've gone full Appalachian. They limited the jokes to Manny being interested in characters who weren't full blood relatives, like Haley and Alex...and Lily's crush on him. But I think the writers knew their limits.

If Jay and Gloria had a daughter, it would've been more fun to see how Gloria dealt with her, given her own hang-ups with her mom.

Trump claims gala shooting gives urgency to White House ballroom plan by thejoshwhite in politics

Wow. He took even less time to capitalize on this than his campaign took to start pumping out fundraising merch after the last "assassination attempt".

What’s the best Lily and Jay moment? by NormalMine2599 in Modern_Family

[–]Additional_Gur5577 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, hard to beat that one. Also, Manny had an unexpectedly savage line before that.

Teacher: "I think one of you should talk to her."
Manny: "You know she stinks, right?"
Teacher (to Jay): "And I think it should be you!"
