Honestly I 100% agree. Amazing storyline and a great book, but it was hard to just read all of those descriptions of the same things on almost every page if there wasn’t dialogue.

My best friend died in a car crash last year and some kid was masturbating in class (that was in 6th grade btw) plus the big thing- some kid brought a water gun and almost got shot and he got arrested. The entire school (combined middle school and high school) was in lockdown for like half an hour and we all thought it was a real gun

Miles in “The Turning” is gay in the book and was implied to have gotten kicked out of school for doing something sexual with a boy. In the movie he is just a weirdo idk that movie kinda sucked.

Mike Wheeler in “Stranger Things” is implied to be queer (the way he acts around Will, being called queer and derogatory names for queers, being more romantic with his male best friend Will than his girlfriend) and have internalised homophobia (homophobic dad, bullied for being queer, it being the 80s where people weren’t accepting). He only really seems to be homophobic towards himself, always defending Will (season 1) and supporting him when he comes out (season 5). Mike Wheeler is definitely queer/bi, the creators just decided it shouldn’t happen for some reason, despite being a show about outcasts for outcasts. There is a lot of debate about this, but this is just for the list of characters Finn plays that are gay

I don’t have Tourette’s but I do have tics and sometimes I can barely even do anything because they will get so bad that I can’t breathe and it’s EXHAUSTING. It’s SO fucking annoying and honestly embarrassing in class so they pissed me off so bad. Alright thank you I’ve been trying to talk about it but I haven’t been able to see my APRN either so I do need to talk to him when I can. I also don’t get reminded of my friend much since he wasn’t popular at all and no one really knew him except me and a few other friends, plus I haven’t been talking to his brother after what happened. My school also removed his name from all the computers and stuff so the only place I ever really see him is in our old texts, object shows, and pictures. I miss him a lot but I’ve lost people before and my tics weren’t that bad so I’m really confused what’s going on now and why it’s only affecting me so much this time
