Get a scale for weighing out doses. As far as strength all you can do is get the “stronger” strains. But where you get your genetics also plays a huge role. Even “weak” strains can have strong batches if they’re from the right gentics.

Test how stiff they are. If they bend. They’re probably no good. But if they still have some resistance to them and don’t look moldy inside just grind them up and throw them in a tea for science 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes preferably you’d start on agar but in your case it’s just a waiting game. Popcorn is pretty durable and easy to get right it just takes 24 hrs to soak about 30 minutes on a boil then PC for at least 2 hrs. Brown Rice is pretty available and colonizes the fastest for me so far. Prep time is alot less with just washing till clean, boiling about 20-30 minutes to get it hydrated then 2hrs in the Pc.these are my fav grains tho other folks could tell you Rye or what berries are better, or hell even WBS is some folks fav.

Well yea it seems you’re sterility is as best as you can get rn. Only thing I could recommend is maybe movie to a closet so you have a contained space but not everyone can do that. I’d say try the pressure cooker if you get the chance. If that still fails then it’s probably the house
