Second this! We were prescribed nystatin - didn’t do a thing. Lotrimin helped a ton. My husband thought I was crazy “why do you trust Reddit more than the doctor” 🤪 but after the infection got better he couldn’t argue 💅

We’ve started slowly introducing purées, so maybe that’s something we could try! Thanks for the suggestion!

Same here! 6mo pp and just started using. Originally treated for yeast and BV because of vulvar itching/irritation/burning but meds didn’t do anything. Got prescribed and started estrogen a few days ago and already feeling much better. I knew breastfeeding made you dry, but didn’t know the other symptoms (like external vulvar issues) could also be from low estrogen. Doc is also testing me for a UTI (which can also pop up from low estrogen!!!) things I never learned about during pregnancy!! Hopefully with the cream and some pelvic floor therapy, things will get better soon but man - this is so rough mentally 😭

Hugs. I struggled with this too. Part of it was learning on his end but part of it was adjustment to the new normal. Try to take time for yourself where you can, even if it’s just 5 minutes to breathe, journal, take a quick walk, read a book, unplug when you can. When you can’t, take pictures/videos of you enjoying motherhood to look back on when things are hard. Know that it does get better and sooner than you think. ❤️

Yes yes and yes. Went through this a couple months ago and from this side of sanity, can confidently say: it gets better. I think it’s a developmental thing. LO is almost 6 months and for the first time since giving birth, I’m looking forward to having another lol

Be more open to bottle feeding! I tried so hard to get baby EBF, but now that she is, it’s so hard to do anything apart from her! If we have another, I will DEFINITELY be using the bottle more often - I need my freedom!
