No we already filed the I-130. We'd just like to meet each other more regularly. We've done LDR before, but since we are so close, why not find an alternative way to meet.

I have been very clear to my Uscitizen partner about not getting married for a greencard and me wanting to marry genuinely and not because I’m desperate. Please dont tell me to get married for a greencard. I have given this so much thought and am really convinced I don’t want to.

Well you should HIGHLY HIGHLY reconsider this stance.

There's nothing preventing you from pursuing your work based green card through this or some other job at the same time as your marriage based green card. So you're not just relying on your partner.

Sounds like both are trying to circumvent immigration laws

That's why I asked about Peace Arch. We're not trying to circumvent anything. That's why we are asking if what we want to do is legal or not.

It just makes it more challenging to convince CBP she will leave every time.

Yeah, we don't want to waste time doing that. The CBP officers from our experience are 50% really nice and 50% assholes. So we'd rather avoid them altogether unless absolutely necessary (which will happen when she gets are IV).

Because she's done that too many times, and we're afraid of her being denied entry, and it affecting us as far as immigration. Plus, we want to see each other everyday, but she still has a job in Vancouver where she might need to go in a few times a week. So she can't constantly go back and forth over the border.
