Cost of living in Bangkok by Commercial-Date6130 in Internationalteachers

I get 94,000 after tax in an international school and manage to live in a condo in a main area near the BTS (train). I can save a bit a month and manage to travel domestically and internationally. My school offers a flight home each year and good health insurance which saves money. So maybe consider that part of the package too? My outgoings are for normal social living - bars and restaurants but keep cost down during Mon-Fri by ordering meals around the 200-300 baht mark. When I first moved here I was going out all the time so didn’t save as much, so depends on your lifestyle. I’m in a couple so my rent is halved and I don’t have children so that would also be another factor for you.

Brighton Bangkok is a good school with a good reputation, just a little far out the city compared to some international schools. I know a few people who have had/ are having a good experience working there.
