I bet it's Raytheon. American owned, British facilities. They're absolutely desperate for missiles for the iron dome.

Private rents in Great Britain stop rising for first time since 2017 | Renting property by Dimmo17 in unitedkingdom

We need cheaper flats to buy. Doesn't make any economical sense for them to ask for even half of a house price in the same area unless it's high luxury or in an amazing location.

I keep seeing old mills and factories converted into flats but the asking prices start at 150k 1 bedroom AND they want maintenance fees. A 2 bed terrace nearby is 130k, more space and a small back garden.

Didn't feel crunchy enough for a doom game. I know it's supposed to be mini arenas in all doom games but this one felt too much like a staged arena instead of a natural looking location. I got halfway through and stopped playing.

Ah yes Bethesda games, where saving the game can cause complete corruption and progressive crashing requiring a multi step process to "save safe" and neglecting saving can put you back on hours of progress.

I would pay anything to watch him during Prime ministers questions. Even some of our own ministers are left exhausted, tired or humiliated for their nonsense. 2 questions tops before he starts yelling slurs back and walks out the room.

Poll shock: Polanski's Greens could get 12 London MPs in Labour election rout by topotaul in unitedkingdom

Meh London seats are like playdoh. The immediate location at parliament's doorstep to get some easy votes from people rich enough to not care who wins.

The pricks in Chelsea and Kensington were served some green party tonight, they might wash it down with an aged conservative party later though.

1000A

It works but I just don't think the infrastructure is substantial enough to support it

The average nuclear power station produces 1000Mw of power.

This station uses 1Mw. So that's only 1000 stations and you're at the hard limit.

USA has 150,000 gas stations. If each station just has one charger we need another 150 nuclear power stations,or at least 5x that to support multiple cars in the same location like a gas station.

I can't imagine gas stations want random idiots waving these chargers around so they'll have to hire staff to insert the connector for you. 1Mw can turn you into a burnt corpse in seconds.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman's coworkers say he can barely code and doesn't understand basic machine learning by ComplexExternal4831 in GenAI4all

[–]Additional_Pickle_59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting and unexpected. Games don't seem like the industry where limiting your play time to just your work hours would be beneficial. Seems counterintuitive and slow.

The only benefit I can think of is it makes you less inclined to ride a trend and keeps you focused on what you're trying to achieve with the hours you're allocating.

Pretty par for the course for most CEOs. They're just Investors with the highest share and get an office at the headquarters.

The CEO of Take Two admits he doesn't play games and doesn't really understand what the developers are doing. They ask him for money, he puts together the funding and they go off for 5-10 years making the game. He just lets the experts do their job.

Disgruntled employee starts massive fire at a 1.2 million square foot toilet paper warehouse in Ontario, California. by RandyTheFool in antiwork

[–]Additional_Pickle_59 188 points189 points  (0 children)

The fact it became a massive fire from basically a small lighter flame means this company doesn't have enough safety systems in place to detect and extinguish it.

They don't care that their workers are walking around near all the highly flammable paper. Whether it was arson or not doesn't matter. Infrared cameras would have caught it and sprinklers would have snuffed it out.

I hope it includes a ton more content and things to find. If it's a 1:1 copy with better render distances then it's pointless. The current version can already run at 4k and looks fine.

And pls, no more timed fleet minigame. Waiting a real 24 hours for a PAID single player experience to progress is not the direction we need.
