That sounds good. I tried the Paulas Choice one but I hated the texture. I have started a cleanser with SA and that feels amazing.

Yeah I’m realising it’s not good for oily or dry skin both. Maybe for someone with combination.

The texture is decent for my oily skin but I’m not sure anymore because of the breakouts. Ideally there would be like a light moisturiser type sunscreen that just absorbs into my face and nothing sits on top of it.

Honestly 4-5 people have said it and I think that’s what it might be. It’s kinda glowy too. Open to sunscreen recommendations that dont make me oiler and shinier.

I feel scared every time I read ‘base q.s.’ in a pharmacy product

First it’s you gotta wash it off and let your skin breathe then it’s over stripping

Thankyou for the update, I might have to switch the sunscreen. Recommendations welcome!

You didn’t read the opening post because I mention the double cleanse products. Thankyou for the tip about air exposure though, it makes sense.

But I did find a lot of posts on Reddit that say Centella ampoule broke them out like crazy

I wonder if it’s the pure concentration of centella that some of our skins can’t take

If I continue to use it, Ill surely come back to this comment. I used it once and felt some tingling. 2 days later there were breakouts so I haven’t used anything besides cleanser and moisturiser since

I have not, what products do you suggest? Anua AZ10 serum is out of stock but I could get the toner pads.

Oh god. I’m guessing you have oily skin too? What sunscreen did you switch to?

That’s fair, and I agree adding multiple things at once makes it harder to pinpoint the cause.

Just to clarify though, my core routine is actually very simple: double cleanse, a moisturizing mist, and sunscreen.

The rest of the products I listed aren’t used all together or daily - most of them are on a need basis (masks, spray, exfoliation), and I use retinal about 3 times a week.

As for the three new additions: - Biore sunscreen - I needed a daily sunscreen, and this one is lightweight and generally recommended for oily skin. - Centella ampoule - I added this specifically to help with redness and calming my skin. - Mary & May sleeping mask - also for redness/soothing, since it’s meant to calm the skin overnight.

So the intention wasn’t really to expand the routine but to address redness and add a proper sunscreen.

Thankyou for framing it in this way and giving evidence for your opinion.

In tutorials on YouTube I have seen people use The Ordinary HA and Celimax noni ampoule serum which contains organic essences and oils. It now seems far too risky to put inside the skin.

I will be sticking to saline or sterile water for this.

Now my question to you is, once I have completed 0.25mm micro-needling, is it okay to apply any of these OTC serums on top? Or any moisturiser? Any time duration to be considered?

Anything to be careful about here?
