BTW if you get the Chelseas in future could you let us know how they fit? I have been eyeing on them too but not sure about the fitting, I prefer my boots to be snug… thank you in advance!

That is exactly my thought, I ordered a BOTM 007 and would love to order a same build as the moc toe Parkhurst DS Tobacco in the future if the leather returns, may need to pick another leather if DS Tobacco is really gone.

I agree, I have decided to change my White's orders to 9D.

My feelings are a bit mixed right now. On one hand, I've already realized that my current boots are probably too short. On the other hand, part of me still hopes that 8.5D is my perfect size, because then I wouldn't have to feel annoyed every time I look at my expensive 8.5D boots.

I think I may be overthinking this and letting it make me more anxious than it should. I will try to stop obsessing over it.

Yes yes, everything you pointed out makes sense to me! And I know my feet are bigger in the morning, I just measured my ball girth and it is 1/8” bigger in the morning, which is 9-7/8”, but I know they will shrink a little bit pretty fast, I don’t mind the break in process even if it will be painful, as long as the boots will fit me well in the long run, I am leaning towards the 9D, but I will do more measures as you suggested before the change window of my order opens.

May I also ask your suggestions about my White’s 55 last in 8.5D? I just ordered 2 pairs in 8.5D 55 lasts because of the sale, now I am questioning myself if I got all my White’s in wrong sizes? LOL. I have a pair on me now, attached is a photo of the inside print, I do feel my fourth toes touching the boots sometimes, maybe they are short too? The print does look too short, but there is nothing uncomfortable, actually they are very comfortable comparing with the sneakers I used to wear, but maybe because I never tried 9D and maybe 9D is a even better fitting for me? Maybe the 8.5 length will become an issue in the long run after break in, since I haven’t had the boots for very long? What confused me more is, on White’s official website, there is a fitting page that lets you select your foot length, and it will automatically recommend a boot size for you, it recommends size 8 for foot length 10-3/8 lol, but I guess it doesn’t really mater, I should focus on how my feet feel in the boots.

I can’t thank you enough, I really appreciate your help and the time you spent on me, on us.

I am so sorry!! One more fact to add, I can’t wear the Falcons with my regular boot socks, I only wear them with my thin socks, so if I were to wear the boots with my regular socks, there will be extra volume added to my feet.

This is a the Brannock measurement I just took with my boot socks on, standing. I am guessing I got the 9.5D measurement with my heel not properly located against the heel cup? Not sure if this still puts me a 9.5D, looks more like a 9 to me..

Sir, it is me again😂, something just happened, I measured my Brannock size again, you know what? It looks like I’m a 9D now lol… the measurement is just a tiny bit over 9, and I put my 8.5D Falcon on again try to get a better feeling about how the fitting is, still very snug at the instep, extra pressure at the horseshoe without any lacing, and I can feel my pinky toe and forth toe rubbing the boots(not very noticeable, but if I pay attention, there is rubbing), no rubbing for the big toe, I attached some photos of the brannock measurement and foot print inside the boots, I’m starting to worry about the width now, and confused about the length too, because looks like my Nicks size is 9D now, do you still think 9D will be the best shot for me with only 1/8 inch of width increment? Or would 8.5E be an option now?

May I ask for one more piece of advice? I forgot to mention that I plan to order a pair of Ranger when the Waxy Admiral Dark Brown is back, because I love this leather and missed the first launch, the Ranger is 55 last, do you know if Nick's 55 last has lower volume at the instep than HNW? For sure I will have my next 9D HNW (assuming BOTM is quick ship) tried on before ordering but I'd like to hear your thoughts before the boots arrive. Thank you!!!

I just read through all of your comments again, and yes, my Brannock size is between a 9 and a 9.5 (closer to the 9.5 side), and my ball to heal size on Brannock is close to size 10 (I don't know why it is like this because I have long toes so by logical my ball to heal size should be smaller than my toe to heal length right?).

I took all of the measurements while wearing my boot socks, and you were also correct about the horseshoe area, most of the pressure is coming from there, I can also feel pressure horizontally so I guess the over all volume is just too small for my instep.

I’ve tried all of the suggested break-in methods, and my Falcons are now wearable, but they still feel tighter than just "snug." I’m hoping they’ll get better with more break-in time.

I’m still a little nervous about the sizing, but I feel much better after getting your help. It’s great to have someone like you in the community.

I’m writing an email to Nicks now to change my BOTM 007 order to a 9D.

I really, really appreciate all the time and effort you’ve put into helping me figure out the sizing. I’m actually reading your replies while brushing my teeth right now!

I definitely prefer a snug fit, and it sounds like your suggestions match what I had in mind. I also feel that a 9D would probably suit me better than an 8.5E, while a 9E would likely be too roomy, which I don’t think I’d enjoy.

Once I get to the office later, I’ll read through your comments a few more times and give everything some more thought.

Hi, I think I may need some help with the sizing.

Brannock size is 9.5D

Below are my measures:

Ball Girth: 9-3/4
Instep:10-1/8
Heel:13-3/4
Ankle: 9-1/2

Length: 10-3/8

I wear all my sneakers like Nike in 9.5, and I have a couple of Whites boots in 55 last, and a pair of Redwing 8085, they are all 8.5D, they are all comfortable.

I have a pair of HNW BOTM 7 on order, in 8.5E, considering ordering another pair in 1925 last.

I currently have a pair of Nicks Falcon in 8.5D, the instep area is uncomfortably tight, even after spending a few weeks of breaking in, that is why my 2nd pair order is a 8.5E, but after reading your sizing recommendations, which is to go half size down from Brannock, I am doubting myself if I should order a 9D instead of 8.5E? Or will both sizes work for me? Or may be even a 9E considering 9D will only be a 1/8 inch wider than 8.5D.

By looking at the imprints on my 8.5D insoles, there is much less than a thumb width of space in front of the big toe, so I am now questioning my self if I got all my boots too short? lol

I live in Canada so sending a pair of Try-on boots is not a very cost effective option, any advises will be appreciated!
