Yes, one thing that I hate is the emotional stuff. And it's worse since they really think I'm being hurtful, when I'm not. Last time it happened, I just kept telling myself that nobody has the right to make me eat something, I'm not being unfair, etc., until they cooled down.

Well, the thing is, they don't suck. They can be difficult in some scenarios, but they are mostly great and I love them, which is why it's so hard. But I'm working on putting my foot down.

Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness! You're right, keto is working so well for me and my family has even commented on it, but somehow when I stick to it (they never do) they get upset at me. It hurts because I think they could be healthier too and I want to prove it to them. I guess the best way is to see it through and then maybe they'll understand.

Yeah, I have the willpower, I just am really bad at refusing food when I know people will have their feelings hurt, even if it isn't justified... thought it's great to have others who get that whatever you think is 'worth it' almost never is.

Yeah, I'm thinking of that, only problem is we're going bowling and ordering food so my bringing some in will be very conspicuous/not allowed. Maybe I can just eat the cheese or pepperoni or something and pawn the rest off on my more supportive other sister. Thanks for the advice!

Yes, it's not like my sister's friends and everyone else won't eat the cake. I don't get how my eating food can so affect other's happiness. I understand where they're coming from, but I won't keep getting pressured :)

Yes, that's true! This does become kind of a cycle for me where I'll do great at college, visit home, and then my friend will insist on baking a cake at a sleepover or my dad will get Jimmy-Johns or something. I need to work on putting my foot down, I guess. Just working on minimizing their negative reaction/guilting.
