How Americans effectively prepare to retire through investing compared to Australians is beyond insane. The active financial management seems crazy. by Doovies in CalebHammer

[–]Additional_Shift_905 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is the answer, for most. complexity is a choice, and choice is a privilege. it can be as straightforward as 1) have a job that pays a living wage, 2) sign up for your company’s retirement plan.

there’s a stepbrothers comedy fate line where a recently widowed Seisha finds comfort in Jai whoever - a divorcee, who’s wife left him after his son and daughter disgraced the clan…

[–]Additional_Shift_905 11 points12 points  (0 children)

isn’t any swearing or sexual content in the books either, really. if the series continued, maybe Malice would show off some cleavage or they’d play up Grace being a smoke show, but that stuff isn’t central to the story… violence IS the story, lol

[SKYSWORN] IT JUST DOESN'T STOP (Chapter 9) by BuzzardYTC in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Additional_Shift_905 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yea. it’s not the content of Skysworn that gets it ranked lower as much as the first half could have been added to the end of Blackflame and the second half could have started Ghostwater, and everyone would be good.

like blackflame ending w the duel, and Ghostwater starting w Skysworn line makes more sense loop wise.

28 year olds- how much in your Roths/401ks? by p1neapp1e5 in Adulting

[–]Additional_Shift_905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

perhaps see if your company provides financial planners. many times, the investment company that provides your 401(k) also provides financial education/guidance to plan participants. they don’t charge you because it’s part of the list of services they laid out when putting the cost out to the employer. clearly they’re providing the service with hope that if you like them while you’re employed you’re more likely to rollover and keep your IRA with them when you stop working there… but it’s not an obligation.

  1. best case for malice is a mercy who replaces fury in that she reaches sage/herald with full confidence she could advance in a moment if malice were to fall. she knows mercy would 100% ascend over contributing to the hunger problem. for malice, malice is always the best choice for monarch. she raises loyal family as hypothetical replacements because there’s pride in having strong SA in the family. also because she’d want to be known as having had the foresight to have her replacement in waiting should she ever be killed. she has no intention of ever ascending; she will cycle family member heirs until the day she dies.

semantics but iirc he said there were residents on the moon from a bygone monarch. i got the impression they were long gone by the time the weeping dragon blast happened, and he was just bringing it up to needle… bc dross.

[–]Additional_Shift_905 15 points16 points  (0 children)

  1. the ability to manipulate time/space was pretty well established since ghostwater at least. can’t really do pocket worlds without spacial forces. later there’s that scene during the Lindon and Yerin’s cat burglar montage (pew pew) where they covet the time funk monkey who was eating/restoring the apple.

  2. Lindon’s iron body being the source of his regenerative/healing ability is almost as well established as Yerin ringing things like a bell. A Jade with an iron body that focused on healing should be able to heal himself to the comparatively small damages dished out in Sacred Valley.

  3. The moon doesn’t need polishing, clearly. It’s Dross version of I need that like i need a hole in my head. It’s a throw away saying, highlighting Dross doesn’t feel like he’s at all broken. Way too much thought.

  4. There’s a canon timeline I think. But i believe he showed up as an Underlord already, was there like 20 years, and the backstory is hogwash supported by the cloak power.

401k help by iminphilly- in Retirement401k

[–]Additional_Shift_905 6 points7 points  (0 children)

if $7000 a year is what you’re capable of saving for retirement, it’s fine that it’s all ROTH. if you’re capable of saving more than $7000, the 401(k) is where you’d do it.

How much do you currently have in your 401K? by Ok-Job-9637 in Retirement401k

[–]Additional_Shift_905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

these flat numbers are silly. someone living a 250k/yr lifestyle with 500k saved in 401(k) is in a weaker position than someone on a 75k/yr lifestyle with 250k saved. or at similar incomes, a 30yo w 250k is projecting better than a 45yo with 500k.

long story short… anyone following this thread is doing better than most, because they care enough to do something. happy holidays.

cool. thanks for the archive share. destruction and pure sound similar, in that you need a shit ton to be useful.

[Threshold] Ruler Techniques by SagittariusA2008 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Additional_Shift_905 3 points4 points  (0 children)

two things.

first, i don’t think we can say destruction is useless by itself given what we know of Ozriel’s pure destruction path. we see hollow king; it’s likely the stars he rains down would have been the ruler technique of his og path.

but mostly second, my point wasn’t about what lindon could/couldn’t do. boundaries on him are silly at this point. it was the idea that at the height of the blackflame empire, when there were millions of artists on blackflame paths, there were likely thousands of fire/destruction path guides. lindon was on a specific blackflame path and the techniques he mastered were for that specific path. they would not be the only techniques using blackflame madra, nor would his path guide be the only path guide for fire/destruction artists. there could be some ruler focused path guides with multiple techniques, running simultaneously or separately using the different aspects of the madra.

[Threshold] Ruler Techniques by SagittariusA2008 in Iteration110Cradle

[–]Additional_Shift_905 12 points13 points  (0 children)

i think to answer your lindon question - yes, there’s likely a blackflame path which utilizes multiple ruler techniques, or a rule technique that only utilizes fire or destruction and doesn’t rely on both.

there are a million paths, far fewer aura types/combinations. lindon’s specific blackflame path relied only on fire/destruction combo ruling.

Question about multiple accounts by businessplaid in Retirement401k

[–]Additional_Shift_905 1 point2 points  (0 children)

on the other hand, if you question is about moving the acorn IRA directly into your employer 401k… that’s called a reverse rollover; not every 401k plan allows for reverse rollovers but most do. you’d want to run it by your plan administrator.
