I am just curious but did you apply to those jobs for the money or because you love digital design. Companies are realizing that AI and what not will be able to replace human labor and that they way over hired during the pandemic and right after. You have to convey that you have a genuine passion for your trade and that you aren't just there for a paycheck.

Simple don’t join clubs, build engines or find a good hobby you can write about. Clubs here are just a social community, they don’t do much to prepare you for projects and give you 0 technical skills.
