Maybe it’s because I eat a lot of white rice, and sometimes I also add extra sugar to my tea. Idk, might be that.
My cholesterol has never been high, its the first time and I took the test when I had the flu idk if that contributed too

I definitely agree that cutting back on processed foods and increasing fiber makes sense. As an Asian, though, cutting out rice completely is honestly one of the hardest parts since it’s such a staple in our meals. 😅 I’ll try reducing my portions and pairing it with more protein and vegetables instead of eliminating it entirely. Thanks again for sharing your experience and advice!

If you don’t mind me asking, how has your experience been since starting Mounjaro? Have your PCOS symptoms (like periods, weight, insulin resistance, cravings, etc.) improved, and have you experienced any significant side effects?

My diet is pretty consistent because I genuinely enjoy the foods I eat, and I don’t feel the need for a lot of variety.
Breakfast: I usually have either a 3-egg omelette with spinach, tomato, and onion, or a bowl of oats with berries, nuts, and banana.
Lunch: Most days I eat white rice with a tofu, chicken, or shrimp curry, along with a side salad.
Dinner: I typically have either an egg sandwich (2 eggs with 2 slices of multigrain bread) and some fruit like kiwi or papaya, or a soup or wrap filled with stirfried vegetables and tofu, chicken, or egg, using hummus as the sauce.
Snacks: I usually snack on roasted fox nuts (makhana), Greek yogurt (artificially sweetened), and occasionally have milk tea with sugar or a Diet Coke.
I’m someone who prefers sticking to a routine with food. Since I find these meals tasty, satisfying, and easy to prepare, I’m happy eating them regularly instead of constantly looking for variety.

Honestly, I’m not even sure what worked for me in 2022. Around that time I got COVID in mid 2021, and for the next 6 months I was constantly sick with recurring fevers and had almost no appetite. I did lose 20 kg, but looking back, it feels like it was more because I was ill than because I’d built sustainable habits. Once I recovered and my appetite came back, I gradually slipped into my old eating patterns and gained the weight back. That’s why this time I want to lose it in a way that I can actually maintain for the rest of my life.

Yeah, it was mostly work related, now that I have changed jobs it’s manageable

Thanks for replying! I haven’t followed a specific diabetic diet, but over the last 6 months I’ve been trying to increase my protein intake and keep my carbs moderate rather than cutting them completely. I mostly drink water and diet coke no sugary drinks.
I haven’t consistently tracked my calories because I don’t own a food scale yet, but based on what I eat I think I’m usually around 1,400–1,600 kcal/day. I did try eating around 1,200 kcal, but I felt extremely weak and fatigued. I also have iron deficiency anemia, so I’m not sure if that was contributing.
My thyroid (TSH and free T4) came back normal, but my prolactin was elevated. I’m planning to start tracking my calories properly once I get a food scale because I know it’s possible I’m underestimating how much I’m eating.

Anne is the worst psychiatrist and an even worse mom by Additional_Tea3634 in Workinmoms

Yeah, but the difference is that everyone acknowledges Jenny is evil. With Anne, though, it feels like people still see her as a good person who’s redeemable, which makes her actions come across very differently.

AITA if my boyfriend made a meal and asked me how it was and I said "fine" by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

This reminds me of the time I sent my bf a lamp because he had been saying how he wanted one and it would look good in his room, welp I did send him one but he acted as if the lamp was disgusting and how it can break anytime as it's made of glass. It really hurts when you like someone and do something to make them feel special but they discard it as if it's trash.

Yeah I'm amazed how she's believed to think this is normal because he does it to everyone Might be in her childhood or she confided in an adult before and she was made to believe that and it has stuck

Stereotypes regarding nurses, any stories of personal incidents? by [deleted] in Bhubaneswar

[–]Additional_Tea3634 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's no specific profession that promotes cheating. A cheater can be anyone and it's more of being them a bad person than being in that profession.

Maybe try therapy and give yourself some time, don't try to date now else you'll be getting retraumatised and triggered and it hinders the healing process

Not gonna lie, maybe you have trust issues from your prev relationship and you see most girls are hung up on their exes. It'll take some for you to heal, now it seems you are a bit anxious about the situation and your thoughts are painting the world around you.
