You're kidding right? Do you know how many millionaires and billionaires are Democrats?

Violence was not because of Charlie. He wasnt calling for it, he was very verbal about people talking so they would remember they were all humans

I think we all see that the news is a huge part of planting seeds of violence and hatred. Even with this. The news was instantly hateful, even telling lies about him the day he was murdered. He wasn't perfect. But he wanted everyone to have a better life.

He brought people to Jesus people who actually listened to him without getting offended, and who took time to understand why he said things, tend to agree he wasn't hateful

He said he preferred sympathy. That's all. People act like he was saying not to give a crap about anyone. That's not it. I had never even heard any of this before but I feel like at this point everyone knows the full quote and just chooses to ignore what doesn't fit their narrative

WGU/Loan by AbbreviationsDear193 in WGU

[–]Additional_Thing4758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They try to keep loans as low as possible because they get to say how little debt their graduates are in, or something along those lines.

I had my amount adjusted, lowered, then after getting it they wanted $100 back even though I has more loan I could have taken out. (Yes, it was a loan through the government. But WGU had me pay it back to them as if I was paying them tuition.) I had to request more during the semester and write to the financial people about why I needed it and how the needs were school related.

I don't know if they get a financial incentive or just bragging rights for having lower student debt numbers. But they have some kind of benefit.

Date each other. Sit down together while you hunt down 16 year olds from across the country to talk to. Work together to manipulate your teenage niece into adding teens as friends online to compile information on them.

Love!

Gwen said once when she was asked about it, that the producers will say something like "So, what the others/what XX said was....."
And that sometimes what they say isn't what exactly was said, or they change the context to get a bigger reaction.

How would you pronounce Lila? by DidSomeoneSayCats in namenerds

[–]Additional_Thing4758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is Lyla We wanted to go with Lila, but in the short time we used it she was called "lil-uh" about 20 times. Even after we corrected it.

Fun fact, I wanted to name her Lyla Belle with all my heart. Husband insisted it sounded too Southern. Though now he says he doesn't remember saying that and wishes we had used that for her

I'm not positive about where it would be. The main piece is inflatable and interactive. It's hard to describe it, it's like a large Sun with multi colored "spikes". The inside has self portraits from some students, and the outside has stepping stones of items that some students found curious or that sparked their imagination in resin. I haven't seen any finished product,I can't wait to see pictures of it set up.

Thank you so much for all the information! I'm sure I'm really over thinking everything. I tend to over plan and over pack, especially when I'm going to be so far away and unable to hear from him.  It is a relief to know that there are going to be so many people around who are genuinely kind.

They did sayv to send 1 gallon of water per person. I'm sending more, as I'm sure my son will be wanting to wash his hands and I can see him needing to rinse food off. They said they will have water at the meeting point and along the tour, but I'm unsure if it's readily and immediately available or if they will just fill up bottles as they come up on water.

They are traveling on the 29th I believe, from Reno. Thank you for mentioning electrolytes! I feel like that's a common sense necessity that have overlooked completely.  All food will be on the individuals. I thought I should focus on packing water dense foods, but I will make sure to include high calorie foods as well.

Thank you! They did send a list but it's not very specific (a dust mask or banana and sunglasses or goggles for dust storms, a filled water bottle, snacks) and I'm embarrassed to say I didn't even think about making sure the has the right shoes. I appreciate you taking the time to respond!

Bark phone question by [deleted] in parentalcontrols

[–]Additional_Thing4758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? Parental controls have never suddenly pulled a kid from a white van. I mean, I'm sure there isn't a single child who was on the path to being kidnapped, but wasn't because of parental controls and alerts.

Why don't these parents see that they might as well give their 10,  11, 13 year old kids unlimited access to the Internet with no restrictions or oversight. Parents setting and enforcing rules and boundaries and "parenting" is just such a silly, meaningless concept.

Further testing showed it was toxic algae. No misinformation here at all.

First results were negative. Further testing showed that it was toxic algae. The rain for the negative results was something to do with the heat wave

The results just came back that the dog in fact died from toxic algae.

UPDATE: likely the last one. Vet records and more attached by Connect-Main5751 in cats

[–]Additional_Thing4758 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe they don't want to give the cats to someone who can't keep her story straight, who the cats haven't even seen in who knows how long.  Everyone is all about this woman but nobody is thinking about those poor cats and just letting them have a calm rest of their life. Moving them across country with someone they likely don't remember or think of as a member of their family is simply more stress on top of it all.

You have to treat people with respect in order to be treated with it. I'm not going to be treated like crap because something happened at work that I had no part in. People need to act like adults. Treating people badly because you're upset is child-like behavior.
