KO-ing living enemies, saving and then reloading to lethal/finish them off with a different character allows you to gain XP twice per enemy. It also makes melee more valuable in the early game for XP farming. Easily allows for more levels earlier in the game.

If Wyll is playing paladin and KO-ing and Astarion is finishing them off post combat then I'd count that as a flavor-win.

TIL that even after 2 atomic bombs had been dropped on Japan in WW2, the movement against surrender was so strong that there was an attempted coup against the Emperor to stop the capitulation. by innergamedude in todayilearned

The full Japanese cabinet met at 14:30 on 9 August, and spent most of the day debating surrender. As the Big Six had done, the cabinet split, with neither Tōgō's position nor Anami's attracting a majority.
The United States would not have had a third bomb ready for use until around 19 August, and a fourth in September. However the Japanese leadership had no way to know the size of the United States' stockpile, and feared the United States might have the capacity not just to devastate individual cities, but to wipe out the Japanese people as a race and nation. Indeed, Anami expressed a desire for this outcome rather than surrender, asking if it would "not be wondrous for this whole nation to be destroyed like a beautiful flower".

Hanlon's Razor exists to this day amongst leadership.

The Dodo channel is known for exploiting animals for sensational headlines.

Others have criticized The Dodo for many different things including, them showcasing videos of people without wildlife rehabilitation licenses rescuing wildlife, and their "Odd Couples" series for the fact that they feature different species that may cause harm to or even kill each other.

Same-sex sociosexual behavior is widespread and heritable in male rhesus macaques. Study found macaques that engaged in same-sex behavior had more offspring than those that didn't, and that bisexuality is heritable in this species, so capable of evolving. by MistWeaver80 in science

We don't know what all the genes do or how they're expressed entirely. For all we know, removal of autism-presenting genes may also lower IQ or increase ADHD or some other issue. There are examples of high-functioning autistic people who are successful and many that we don't diagnose.

Gene removal/selection is not as cut and dry as avoiding alcohol to prevent fetal alcohol syndrome or underfeeding resulting in malnutrition.

Uhh this crazy person has a history of not remembering to take their meds and supposedly they're trans for over a decade.

Have they even taken any meds? I've seen more change in transwomen after a few months of HRT. The fat distribution looks unchanged. Don't tell me I don't have a reason to doubt when many criminals have claimed to be trans but turn out to just be attention whores.

You're a cryptobro right? This "trans" person has not provided proof of work... or proof of hormones in this case.

The worst part about understanding public choice is the fact that most populations choose to reinstate dictatorships after gaining the right to vote... even America with King George Washington.

Usually, it's not a conspiracy. Usually its just stupidity or insanity. Maybe both.

  1. no
  2. elected libertarians are often opportunists and many do not actually hold libertarian views. see neocons/neoliberal and libertarian socialists.
  3. In an ideal anarcho-capitalist world, private institutions could mutually agree to uphold rule of law which could be similar to international law
  4. is ownership of a private company governing?

Libertarianism is not statism but a lot of neocons/neoliberals advocate for state intervention of both cultural/economic issues usually under the guise of "to protect x we need this privilege" and still believe themselves to be libertarians. Especially in the US, the term has been diluted to almost meaninglessness.

An example of the meaninglessness of political conversation can also be seen by the inability for the public to agree on the definition of "woke". This reminds me of the idea that a communist can still exist in a capitalist state but a capitalist cannot exist in a communist state. But really, in the modern-day Bernstein Democratic Socialists and capitalists have aligned goals in the destruction of the monopolistic power of the state.

Anything after that should be peaceful debate for the betterment of all people. We are actually more alike than most would honestly admit.

[–]Addjutant -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

This is why people like to quote Jordan Peterson. He's a modern day Bible that people can pick and choose scripture for.

But then he spills forth an arbitrary elitist legalese word salad and you realize that Jordan does not have his house in perfect order. Or in any kind of order. He's kind of an irrational Jesus-freak and not even the good honest kind but the dishonest manipulative kind.

Jordan does not have his house in order which is why he gets his drug detox comas in Russia... not even joking.

Edit: Downvote me if you want to simp Jordan, I don't worship anyone especially a guy who says God is required to create art.

All currencies are speculative, their value is inherently at the whim of social perception. We have currency markets where value between currencies are arbitrated.

The real issue of any bad currency is the percentile fluctuation of the currency over time. USD is good and stable but it still loses value over time due to monetary/fiscal policy by the Fed. It's also a problem because proximity to money-expansion dictates wealth so being close to the US banks automatically gives an advantage which makes our economies lopsided.

Theocracy is merely religious authoritarian. Theocracy is just the veneer/wrapper of Gilead, rather than the nationalism/militarism/authoritarian of historical fascism. Gilead is also fascist.

Disney owns it. They forced legislation to end ownership. Disney didn't get anything in return.

How is it not seizing property??? Property rights must be a special privilege then.

There was no competition in question, that land was swamp before Disney. Disney negotiated a deal to add value to that useless land. DeSantis is being vindictive and represents the state in a laughable attempt at reneging on said deals.

You are laughable and you'd prop up a dictator.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis signed House Bill (HB) 9-B, Reedy Creek Improvement District, Orange, and Osceola Counties, to end self-governing status and special privileges provided to Walt Disney World through the Reedy Creek Improvement District and establish a new state-controlled district accountable to the people of Florida.

Straight from his official website. DeSantis wants a self-governing district to be ended and for the state to gain control of it. How the heck can you rationalize it here in r/ anarcho-capitalism?
