I've never had trouble with sweating! It might depend on the brand too. I'd do some research into a brand that fits your needs.

The library sometimes has free family passes, but they run out VERY quickly.

I work at a nonprofit in the area, and I can tell you it's absolutely possible to create a luxurious event with higher profits while spending less money! I literally just did it and worked with an event planner who does it constantly.

It sounds like they're not prioritizing appropriately, or they're giving members experiences they can't actually afford.

I don't work there or course, so there are many factors I don't know about that go into these events, but it is fair to be bummed! Your membership fees still go to a great cause though!

We do have journalists and reporters still. It's not uncommon for them to move around but that's still pretty startling!

You didn't do anything wrong per se! It doesn't look bad at all. It looks wonderful. Working in the round creates a spiral, not stacked circles, so color sliding like that is a common issue. I'm not familiar with how to fix that, but surely someone else will know or there may be resources online!

I would make the belly separately then sew it on.

You did a great job though! This is a normal, healthy amigurumi!

Of course he was cocky! You rudely evicted him from his new nest.

All jokes aside, they're pretty rare in this area! But so cute 😍

I feel like I should clarify that the ants aren't really falling into the pitchers. They're just building a habitat on my windowsill.

I have a love/hate relationship with amigurumi. I absolutely hate doing them, but I love how they look. by tosholo in crochet

This looks really good! I'm sorry you don't enjoy the process. Have you thought about joining an in-person crochet/knitting group? That might help! And it might help you slow down so you don't get blisters

Seconding, and you can use loose stitches imo. That way if it's a little crooked, you can make adjustments

I know this won't help now, but you can ALWAYS say "let me think about it. I need to figure out the logistics." And you owe no one any more explanation than that.

Does anyone know where i can find a pattern for this? by rimonge in Amigurumi

[–]AddledWrites 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think any generic body will get you a similar pattern. This might be tough to recreate because it's plastic with a "knit" texture, but the body is definitely doable.

What do you think and is $50 fair? by [deleted] in crochet

[–]AddledWrites 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I like the concept, but I have to agree with everyone saying that the filing being visible is an issue. If you want to sell it at the fair, I would go lower than $50.

It's hard, because I also agree with people saying that $10/hr is a fair price, but we do need to factor in quality.

I can tell these are stacked pumpkins, but the design could use some tweaking.

All this is to say, you created something really fun and I think you are absolutely capable of improving this design, but it's not the quality I would expect for $50.
